Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Victoria set out its policy platform at a campaign event on 3 October 2026, with law and order at the centre. That was a later milestone than the campaign’s August launch, when the party named Warren Pickering as its Victorian state leader and unveiled upper-house candidates. The Victorian state election is scheduled for 28 November 2026.
Two campaign milestones: August launch and October policy event
One Nation Victoria’s 4 August announcement said Hanson had launched the state election campaign “yesterday,” placing that event on 3 August. The party named Warren Pickering as Victorian state leader and unveiled upper-house candidates, while describing its priorities as law and order, cost of living, energy affordability and reliability, housing, health and education. On 3 October, the party held a later campaign and policy event and presented a 63-page policy booklet. ABC News estimated roughly 750 supporters attended; that is the broadcaster’s approximate count. Its report said the event focused chiefly on law and order. ABC News’ 3 October report

One Nation Victoria said in March that it was preparing to field up to 100 candidates, and Pauline Hanson’s One Nation said in April it intended to contest every seat. Those statements describe intentions, not the final nominated slate. The VEC’s 2026 election changes also include removal of group voting tickets for the Legislative Council.

ABC reported that Victorian government minister Nick Staikos dismissed the party and said: “We don’t share anything in common with that party, we will not be making deals with that party.” Opposition Leader Jess Wilson said voters who wanted a change of government should elect a Liberal and Nationals government. These are statements by those politicians, not evidence of a wider consensus. ABC also reported about two dozen protesters outside the 3 October event.
