Pittsburgh listed the goaltender as Injured Non-Roster in its September 28, 2026 opening-roster announcement; the NHL’s September 29 roster list likewise included him among Pittsburgh’s injured and/or non-roster players. Neither record names an AHL destination.
What Pittsburgh’s opening-roster announcement says
The Penguins’ September 28, 2026 announcement listed a 22-player active roster, including goaltenders Sergei Murashov and Arturs Silovs. It listed D’Aigle separately as Injured Non-Roster, without naming a destination, describing an injury, or giving a return date. Pittsburgh’s roster announcement
The NHL Public Relations season-opening roster list, published September 29, categorized D’Aigle among Pittsburgh’s injured and/or non-roster players. It does not report an AHL assignment either. NHL Public Relations’ 2026-27 opening-roster list
Why the designation does not confirm an AHL move
Being outside the NHL active roster is not, by itself, evidence that a player was assigned to the AHL. The two opening-roster records establish D’Aigle’s listed status at the time they were published, but do not establish a transaction to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton or any other destination. The available announcement also does not explain the injury designation or how long it may apply.

His prior Wheeling appearance
D’Aigle also had professional experience with the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers in 2025-26. Wheeling said he earned his first professional win on April 12 by stopping 38 of 39 shots, then made 44 saves in the team’s final regular-season game. The Nailers included him on their April 21 playoff roster and June 9 protected list; those records document his past ECHL connection, not a 2026-27 AHL assignment.
