Ann Takamaki’s Lovers Confidant starts automatically on April 15 in Persona 5 Royal. To begin her rank 2 hangout, you need Considerate Kindness and an in-game date after May 6. At rank 9, choose “You have me” for romance or “You have the others” for friendship; either route can reach rank 10.
When and where to find Ann
Ann joins the party on April 11, and her Confidant story begins automatically on April 15. After that, look for her in Shibuya’s Underground Mall, by the clothing store. Her regular daytime availability is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. RPG Site also lists day and night availability on rainy days.

Her rank 2 hangout has two prerequisites: Joker must have Kindness at the Considerate level, and the in-game date must be after May 6. If Ann is available but the rank-up hangout does not trigger, check both conditions.
How to earn more relationship points
Choose the more supportive or affirming dialogue options when they appear. Higher relationship points can reduce the need for extra non-rank hangouts before the next rank-up. Bring a Lovers Persona in Joker’s stock when you meet Ann: RPG Site says a matching-Arcana Persona provides the full affinity bonus for hangouts. The options below follow Prima Games’ Royal-specific route guide; answers marked flexible are not necessary to force a particular relationship outcome.

Rank 9 is the relationship fork, not a requirement to finish the Confidant. The choice changes the subsequent dialogue, but both paths allow Ann’s story to continue to rank 10.

Completing rank 10 evolves Ann’s Persona, Carmen, into Hecate and unlocks Ishtar fusion. Her later third awakening to Célestine is tied to a third-semester event, rather than the rank 10 Confidant reward.
