In the same report, Rillie said the Wildcats had reacted differently to similar emotional moments earlier, but this time moved on and finished the game well. His reported comment was: “We’re trying to figure out who we are. We still don’t know who we are, but the way the way we’ve been composed compared to week one is encouraging. Tonight, they got that disruptive foul and previously we’ve reacted a little different to those moments. Tonight we just moved on, went from there, and we finished the game well,” he explained.

The repeated “the way” is retained as it appears in the report. Rillie also said: “I hope we’re just all understanding what that moment looks like and how reacting (the right way) in certain tones, (has an) impact and influence. I think the group has a level of trust as we fight through this and figure out who we are. We handled ourselves in those moments.”
These are qualitative comments attributed to Rillie by Excellentnewspaper, not a measured statistic about the team’s composure. The NBL’s separate 3 October report quotes Rillie calling the win “a great team win” and saying the Wildcats showed growth after their previous finish against the Phoenix; it does not include the specific foul passage. How the game finished, and who led Perth?
The NBL’s match report says Perth won 92–88 at RAC Arena, with 11,831 spectators. The Wildcats led for almost 33 minutes, though their advantage never exceeded six points. The narrow margin and late foul context help explain why Rillie focused on the group’s response, but the available reporting does not establish that the foul alone decided the result.
According to the NBL’s 2 October report, Elijah Pepper scored 25 points, while Anthony Dell’Orso and Doolittle added 22 apiece; Windler scored 14. The league’s next-day report also credits Doolittle with eight assists and seven rebounds.
