The headline reveal was Ghost of Yōtei, a new PS5 adventure; the presentation also included a packed slate of remasters, DLC, VR titles, and 2025 releases.
This is a historical roundup of what Sony announced at the event, not a guide to what is currently available. Sony noted that some featured games may not be available in every region.
What were the biggest announcements?
Ghost of Yōtei leads the showcase
Sucker Punch revealed Ghost of Yōtei, a new PS5 game with a new protagonist, story, and region of Japan. Sony said it was planned for release the following year, meaning 2025 relative to the September 2024 presentation. Sony’s event recap did not give a more specific release date.
Hardware and accessories
Sony announced that PS5 Pro would launch on November 7, 2024, and added more games to the list of titles with enhanced features or modes. Features vary by game and require a compatible display. The Chroma Collection introduced DualSense wireless controllers and PS5 console covers in Chroma Pearl, Chroma Indigo, and Chroma Teal. These were separate announcements: PS5 Pro is a console upgrade, while Chroma is a cosmetic accessory collection.

Game announcements by release timing
The dates below are announcements made in 2024. They describe Sony’s stated plans at the time and should not be read as confirmation of current availability.
Available the day of the presentation
- Palworld: Sony announced a PS5 release on September 24, 2024, describing the game as open-world survival crafting and monster collecting, with support for up to 32 players.
- TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge – Radical Reptiles: The DLC launched that day, adding Mondo Gecko and Mona Lisa as playable characters.
Announced for late 2024
- Fear the Spotlight: PS5 and PS4 release announced for October 22.
- Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: PS5 and PC release announced for October 31. Sony cited over 10 hours of re-recorded conversation alongside motion-capture and graphical improvements, with visual fidelity intended to be comparable to Horizon Forbidden West.
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard: EA showed gameplay and announced a PS5 release for October 31.
- LEGO Horizon Adventures: November 14 release announced, with pre-order bonuses mentioned.
- Towers of Aghasba: November Early Access launch on PS5 announced. The footage showed city-building, ecosystem development, combat, and exploration.
- Hitman World of Assassination: PlayStation VR2 version announced for December, with 21 locations, dual wielding, and gesture controls.
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered: Aspyr announced a PS4 and PS5 launch for December 10.
- Sonic X Shadow Generations: The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack DLC was announced for PS5 and PS4 on December 12.
Announced for 2025
- Dynasty Warriors: Origins: PS5 release announced for January 17. Sony described a nameless hero fighting during China’s Three Kingdoms era.
- Monster Hunter Wilds: PS5 release announced for February 28, alongside the reveal of the “White Wraith.”
- Lunar Remastered Collection: Spring PS5 and PS4 release announced. It combines Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete, with improved visuals and quality-of-life changes.
- The Midnight Walk: Moonhood announced a spring PS5 and PS VR2 release for its clay-crafted dark fantasy adventure.
- ArcheAge Chronicles: The online action RPG, described as the latest installment in the ArcheAge series, was slated for PS5 the following year.
Other updates and titles without a specific date in the recap
- Astro Bot: Team Asobi said new speedrun levels and 10 Special Bots to rescue would arrive in fall 2024.
- Alan Wake 2: The Lake House: Sony previewed an expansion at the Federal Bureau of Control research station near Cauldron Lake, where an experiment causes reality to collide with the Dark.
- Hell is Us: Sony showed the first gameplay for the PS5 action adventure, highlighting an exploratory design that asks players to infer answers from what they see and hear.
- Metro Awakening: Sony announced a November 7 PS VR2 release. It described the game as an origin story for Khan, written by series creator Dmitry Glukhovsky. A Deluxe Edition pre-order offer was mentioned at the time.
- Fantasian Neo Dimension: Hironobu Sakaguchi’s RPG was announced for PS5 on December 5, 2024.
- Stellar Blade: Sony announced a NieR: Automata DLC collaboration, a Photo Mode update, and a soundtrack release on over 30 streaming platforms. The recap did not specify a DLC date.
- Fortnite: LEGO Fortnite was set to receive split-screen play in October. Sony also announced a limited-edition DualSense controller featuring Fishstick and Peely for November 7.
PlayStation Plus announcements were time-specific
Sony announced the following service updates for fall 2024. These are historical announcements; the recap does not establish whether any game remains in a catalog today.
