It unlocked branching Timed Research featuring a choice of Gigantamax Rillaboom, Cinderace, or Inteleon, each with a Seasonal Special Background. The code expired on August 3, 2025, and the research deadline was August 24, 2025, so neither the code nor its associated research is currently available.
What did the GOFESTMAX code unlock?
Pokémon GO’s official Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale page instructed Trainers to redeem GOFESTMAX through the Pokémon GO Web Store. The code unlocked branching Timed Research focused on Max Battles and Buddy Pokémon. Its encounter choice was one of three Gigantamax Galar starters: Rillaboom, Cinderace, or Inteleon. The selected Pokémon had a Seasonal Special Background.

Is GOFESTMAX still valid?
No. The official page set the code’s expiration for August 3, 2025, at 00:00 UTC. It separately required players to finish the research tasks and claim their rewards by August 24, 2025. The first date was the redemption cutoff; the second was the completion cutoff for research already unlocked. Both have passed.
What were the research tasks and rewards?
