Tapu Bulu is a Grass- and Fairy-type raid boss with weaknesses to Poison, Fire, Ice, Flying, and Steel attacks, according to a secondary raid guide. Niantic’s most recently documented appearance was in the Road of Legends five-star raid schedule for July 6–10, 2026; those dates have passed, so check the live Pokémon GO announcements for current availability.
Is Tapu Bulu currently in Pokémon GO raids?
The cited schedules do not establish that Tapu Bulu is available now. Niantic’s latest schedule in the sources here listed it among five-star raid encounters during Road of Legends, July 6–10, 2026, in local time. That event has ended. Earlier appearances are also historical: Tapu Bulu debuted in five-star raids from April 12–26, 2022, and returned for a five-star raid appearance on November 13, 2025.
Raid rotations in the 2022 announcement began and ended at 10:00 a.m. local time. That schedule also included Tapu Bulu Raid Hours on April 13 and April 20, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. See Niantic’s April 2022 schedule and November 2025 event announcement for those dated details.
Tapu Bulu weaknesses and attacker choices
A secondary raid guide identifies Tapu Bulu as Grass/Fairy and lists Poison, Fire, Ice, Flying, and Steel as weaknesses. Use attackers with moves of those types as a starting point, but this source does not establish a current ranked counter list or verify present-day game data. Its provenance and currentness are also not established, so treat the type list as secondary guidance rather than an authoritative current ranking.

Choose among available attackers by weighing three practical factors:
- Type effectiveness: prioritize attacks that exploit one of the listed weaknesses.
- Survivability: an attacker that stays in the battle longer can contribute more than a fragile option with a stronger attack.
- Readiness: use Pokémon you have already powered up rather than spending resources solely to assemble an unverified “best” team.
No exact counter ranking, guaranteed solo or duo strategy, or current encounter CP range is established by these sources.

How to beat the raid
Niantic Support describes tier-five raids as among the more difficult categories and notes that some bosses may not be beatable alone. Its guidance is to use super-effective attacks, dodge charged attacks to reduce incoming damage, and bring more players when needed. A Mega-Evolved Pokémon can provide bonuses.
- Build a team around super-effective moves. Use the weaknesses above to guide your available attackers.
- Dodge charged attacks. Niantic says dodging these attacks reduces damage taken.
- Coordinate additional trainers if your group struggles. Niantic advises bringing more players for difficult bosses.
- Rejoin if the first attempt fails. You can re-enter the same raid without using another pass while its timer is still running.

Does Tapu Bulu have a featured move?
Niantic’s November 2025 Into the Wild announcement said Tapu Bulu caught during that event would know the Charged Attack Nature’s Madness. This was an event-specific bonus, not evidence that Tapu Bulu currently appears in raids with the move. Check the announcement for the event’s dated terms.
