The Pokémon Company announced on August 27, 2025, that its Mega Evolution Pokémon TCG expansion would arrive later in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Products were expected to be available for purchase there from October 10, 2025, rather than the original September 26 date. Contemporaneous reporting said the September 26 date remained unchanged in other regions, including the United States.
What changed, and where?
The delay applied to EMEA markets: Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company said product delivery dates were affected, but its announcement did not identify a particular shipment, port, distributor or other specific cause. PokéBeach reproduced the announcement in English as: “Due to challenges impacting product delivery dates, the release of the upcoming Mega Evolution will be slightly delayed in EMEA markets.” PokéBeach also reproduced the company’s apology to fans.
The dates below describe the 2025 announcement and release schedule, not current stock or tournament guidance.

|---|---|
| Delay announced | August 27, 2025 |
| Original release date | September 26, 2025 |
| Revised EMEA availability | From October 10, 2025 |
| Other regions | Contemporaneous reports said September 26, 2025 remained the date in other regions, including the United States. |
October 10 was two weeks after September 26. That interval is calculated from the reported dates; it was not presented as an industry statistic.

Why was the Pokémon Mega Evolution set delayed in Europe?
The Pokémon Company cited “challenges impacting product delivery dates.” It did not publish a more detailed explanation in the announcement. No specific shipping disruption or other cause was established in the contemporaneous coverage, so attributing the delay to one would go beyond what was reported.
When did Mega Evolution release in the UK and Europe?
The revised date for EMEA—including the UK and European markets covered by the announcement—was October 10, 2025, when products were expected to become available for purchase. This is a historical date; it does not establish whether any particular product is available now.
