Poker Night at the Inventory version 1.5.0 arrived on October 1, 2026, adding four tournament-unlocked table designs, an optional Stank Mode visual filter and a setting to replay special item buy-ins. Skunkape Games’ official update announcement also lists fixes for audio, character visuals, host dialogue and a table-switching issue. Nintendo Everything reported the update’s release on Switch the same day.
What’s new in Poker Night at the Inventory 1.5.0?
The update focuses on presentation and replay options rather than changes to poker rules. Its headline addition is four new tables, which the developer says bring the game’s roster to 27. The update also adds Stank Mode and makes it possible to revisit special item buy-in rounds after winning their associated items.
Four tables to unlock
All four tables are unlocked by winning tournaments, according to Skunkape Games. The developer describes their themes as follows:
- Toys of Power: Inspired by the telekinetic abilities interface in Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse.
- Parsnips A-Plenty: Inspired by an old-timey Homestar Runner short.
- Gabe’s Shirt XXXL: Features retro shading on Tycho and a table-sized version of Gabe’s yellow shirt.
- Mann vs. Machine: A tribute to Team Fortress 2’s co-op mode, featuring a robotic Heavy skin.
The announcement says these additions raise the roster to 27 tables. That total is the developer’s figure in its update post.

What is Stank Mode?
Stank Mode is an optional visual treatment in the gameplay settings. Skunkape Games describes it as a filter that makes colors less vibrant, the atmosphere smokier and the overall look dingier, recalling the original game’s grungier presentation.
The developer introduced it in response to some longtime fans who felt that the upgraded lighting, graphics and effects in the March remaster had lost some of the original’s “stank.” That is the studio’s explanation of the mode’s motivation, not a measured claim about all players’ views.

Can you replay special item buy-ins?
Yes. Version 1.5.0 adds a setting that lets you replay special item buy-in rounds after you have already won the corresponding item. Replaying the round does not award a second copy; it lets you revisit the item-round content.
What do the 1.5.0 patch notes fix?
The official notes list fixes in four areas: gameplay messaging, sound, character visuals and a scene-rendering problem during a table change.

Gameplay messaging
- The Host could say the blinds were changing when they were not.
Audio
- Chip sound effects could be missing in some win cutscenes.
- Pause-menu slider and toggle sounds did not play until the menu was closed.
Character visuals
- Tycho’s finger could intersect with his eyebrow in showdown close-ups.
- Heavy’s visor could disappear when he busted out, and he could intersect with the chair and table afterward.
Table-switching scene
- The environment could turn black when switching away from the Automata or Telltale Shield table during the opening cutscene.
Platforms and update date
The update is dated October 1, 2026. Nintendo Everything reported that version 1.5.0 went live on Nintendo Switch that day and reproduced the fixes. The official announcement is on Steam. These reports do not establish a complete platform-by-platform rollout schedule or current availability in every regional store.
