What Pollip Pouch does
Its description says it applies venom to equipped tools. The community wiki says most red tools then inflict extra damage over time; Needle Phial is an exception and does not receive the effect. The item therefore matters most when your loadout uses red tools often enough to apply venom during fights.

Venom damage and Crafting Kits
The community wiki records two venom damage ticks and lists the per-tick value by Crafting Kit count as follows. These are wiki-reported mechanics, not independently tested or identified with a specific game patch.

The same wiki says that applying venom again resets the effect, enemy damage modifiers do not affect poison damage, and an enemy cannot have multiple venom sources active at once. When Pollip Pouch suits a build
Think about how often your build uses red tools, whether those tools can reapply venom reliably, and what you give up by equipping this blue tool instead of another option. The wiki notes synergy with Architect Crest, which relies on red tools, but cautions against a setup focused on Plasmification.
- Flea Brew: the Tool Synergies page says it leaves venom clouds as Hornet moves.
- Plasmium Phial: the wiki lists an interaction with Pollip Pouch that can affect Plasmification, making the combination a consideration if that secondary effect is central to your setup.
- Other tools: the item and synergy pages list additional interactions, including Flintslate. Their presence is not a universal ranking; suitability depends on your tools and desired effects.
