PowerColor’s limited-edition Red Devil Spectral White AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB pairs an unusually comprehensive white design with a collectible bonus: a metal Red Devil keycap styled after the graphics card. It is a premium showcase GPU rather than a simple color swap, but its 340mm length, three-slot cooler, three power connectors, and board-specific 900W system recommendation make compatibility just as important as appearance.
A white RX 9070 XT designed to be the centerpiece
PowerColor announced the Red Devil Spectral White RX 9070 XT on April 8, 2025, calling it the first Spectral White version of its flagship Red Devil line. The model identifier is RX9070XT 16G-E/OC/WHITE, and it uses AMD’s RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 memory.
The white treatment extends beyond the cooler shroud. PowerColor lists a white PCB, heatsink, backplate, and power connectors, creating a more unified finish than cards that only replace a black shroud with a white one. Its Hellstone RGB lighting is configurable through PowerColor’s Keystone software and compatible system RGB controls.

PowerColor’s official announcement describes the card as a limited edition, but it does not specify how many units were produced. That means “limited edition” should not automatically be read as proof that the card is rare or permanently unavailable.

How fast is it?
The standard Radeon RX 9070 XT launched with 64 compute units, 4,096 stream processors, 16GB of GDDR6 memory, a 256-bit memory interface, and an advertised boost clock of up to 2.97GHz. AMD announced a $599 U.S. suggested launch price for the baseline RX 9070 XT when it became available on March 6, 2025.
PowerColor’s card adds factory tuning. Its OC BIOS is rated for a game clock of up to 2,520MHz and a boost clock of up to 3,060MHz, while the Silent BIOS reduces those figures to 2,460MHz and 3,010MHz. The boost number is an advertised maximum, not a guaranteed sustained speed in every game; actual behavior varies with workload, temperature, and power conditions.
The higher clocks should provide some performance advantage over a reference-clocked card, but they do not establish a particular frame-rate increase. Without independent testing, it would be misleading to describe the Spectral White model as dramatically faster or to attach a specific FPS gain to its factory overclock.

The metal Red Devil keycap is the cool perk
The most distinctive extra is a metal keycap modeled after the Red Devil RX 9070 XT. PowerColor says its design is inspired by the card’s Hellstone RGB element, and lists it among the accessories included with the limited-edition board.
It is a collectible novelty, not a performance component. It may be a particularly appealing extra for PowerColor fans or anyone building a white-and-red gaming setup, and it is more substantial than a generic sticker or paper insert. However, PowerColor’s materials do not establish compatibility with every keyboard. Fit depends on the keyboard’s switch stem and form factor, so owners of low-profile or unusual keyboards should not assume that it will work.

The keycap should therefore be treated as a differentiator, not a reason to pay a major premium by itself. The card’s cooler, dimensions, warranty, price, and availability matter more to most buyers.
Cooling and board features
Beyond its appearance, the Red Devil Spectral White includes a substantial custom-board design:

These features indicate a heavily engineered board and give owners a quieter profile option or a higher-clocked profile. They do not guarantee a particular temperature, noise level, or overclocking result. Those claims require independent testing.

Check your case before buying
This is a very large graphics card. The board measures 340mm long, 132mm high, and 69mm thick without its support bracket. With the bracket, the listed dimensions become 352 × 149 × 69mm. It occupies three slots and uses three eight-pin PCIe power connectors.

- Your case’s maximum GPU length with front fans or a radiator installed.
- Vertical clearance between the motherboard, side panel, and GPU power sockets.
- Whether the case supports a three-slot card without blocking essential expansion slots.
- Room to route three separate eight-pin PCIe power leads without sharply bending them against the side panel.
- Whether the support bracket conflicts with bottom intake fans, radiators, drive cages, or the power-supply shroud.
- Clearance around the card for adequate airflow and to reduce sag.
Pay attention to the PSU discrepancy
AMD’s general RX 9070 XT reference guidance lists a 750W recommended power supply and two eight-pin connectors. PowerColor specifies 900W minimum system power and three eight-pin connectors for this particular Red Devil board.
Those figures are not interchangeable. A system built around AMD’s reference guidance may not satisfy the requirements of this larger, factory-overclocked PowerColor model. Follow PowerColor’s board-specific recommendation, use suitable PCIe cabling from a reputable PSU, and check the power supply manufacturer’s guidance rather than relying on a single shared cable arrangement.
Red Devil Spectral White versus Hellhound Spectral White
PowerColor’s Hellhound Spectral White RX 9070 XT is the more practical white alternative for smaller systems. It is listed at 327 × 128 × 49mm, occupies 2.5 slots, uses two eight-pin connectors, and has an 800W minimum system-power recommendation.
The Red Devil is the larger, more premium choice, with a more elaborate board and cooler design, dual BIOS, the unified white treatment, and the bundled metal keycap. The Hellhound makes more sense when case clearance, cable routing, or PSU capacity is the priority. Both should be judged by their actual market prices, cooling performance, warranty support, and availability rather than color alone.
Buyers who prefer the Red Devil design but do not need a white card or collectible accessory can also compare the standard PowerColor Red Devil RX 9070 XT. AMD’s Radeon partner-card directory is useful for comparing additional models from brands including ASUS, ASRock, Gigabyte, Sapphire, XFX, Yeston, Acer, and Vastarmor.
Price and availability
The only confirmed launch-price figure in the supplied official material is AMD’s $599 U.S. suggested launch price for the baseline Radeon RX 9070 XT. PowerColor’s announcement does not publish an MSRP for the Red Devil Spectral White edition, and its official product page does not establish a current U.S. street price or stock status.
Do not treat the $599 figure as the price of this premium limited-edition board. Before buying, confirm the exact /WHITE model suffix, the included keycap, the retailer’s warranty terms, and the current price in your country. “Limited edition” also does not reveal the production quantity or guarantee that a particular listing is genuine.
Who should buy it?
The Red Devil Spectral White RX 9070 XT is a strong fit for someone building a showcase white PC who wants the GPU itself—not just its shroud—to match. Its factory tuning, dual BIOS, extensive cooling hardware, premium power delivery, and metal keycap give it a more distinctive identity than a conventional RX 9070 XT.
It is less compelling for buyers who only want the most frames per dollar, have a compact case, are using a 750W or 850W PSU that does not meet PowerColor’s recommendation, or do not care about white styling and themed accessories. The keycap is fun, but the purchase should be justified by the complete card rather than the bonus alone.
