What did the Radahn nerf change?
Bandai Namco’s version 1.14 notes place the changes under “Final Boss balance adjustments.” They say the opening action pattern changed, some attack moves were adjusted, and some attacks had lower damage and stamina damage. The notes also report reduced range for some non-weapon-based attacks and improved visibility for some attack effects. The publisher’s brief description of the opening change is: “Changed the action pattern when the battle starts.” Bandai Namco’s 1.14 patch notes do not identify every affected move or provide damage percentages.

Was Radahn nerfed in the latest patch?
No—not in version 1.17, the latest update covered by the official notes as of October 8, 2026. The documented Radahn changes date to version 1.14 in 2024. The later 1.15, 1.16.1, and 1.17 notes listed above do not document a further adjustment to him. That means the title’s “latest patch” framing is outdated: the nerf was real, but it was not new in 1.17.
The 1.14 notes also contain no player success rates, attempt counts, or other outcome statistics. They establish what categories of changes the publisher made, not a measured before-and-after verdict on the fight’s difficulty.

Can you still play the original version of the fight?
The cited patch notes do not describe an official setting for choosing between pre-1.14 and post-1.14 Radahn. A Steam Community commenter discussing version 1.16 asked for an option to fight the “previous hard version or nerf version,” but that is one player’s phrasing, not evidence of a broadly used label or an available in-game toggle.
