In a September 26, 2026 announcement, the project author, posting as BlackBearReloaded, called the port experimental and said compatibility, performance, and stability vary considerably between games. The author described features including a game library, per-game handheld or docked mode, DualSense controls, audio, saving, and a diagnostic display. Does v1.000.050 work with every PS5 or Switch game?
No broad compatibility claim is established. Whether a game launches or plays acceptably can differ by game and system conditions; a demonstration of a few titles cannot show how the full library behaves. The project author specifically urged caution with large 3D games in the September 26 announcement.

Tom’s Hardware’s September 28, 2026 report covered early-alpha builds, including v1.000.010 and earlier testing context, and noted variation by game and PS5 firmware. What is known about version 1.000.050?

Why might ProsperoEden fail to see its files?
In an October 4, 2026 Reddit discussion, one user said v1.000.050 failed to detect expected files and displayed “Access sandboxed (code 11): app folder only.” The user compared that experience with their own use of v1.000.040. This establishes one person’s report, not a confirmed general bug, its cause, or a verified fix. Suggestions in the discussion were not independently reproduced: October 4 user support discussion.
If you encounter the same message, note your app version and the exact error, then consult the project’s own support channels for guidance. Do not assume that a workaround mentioned by another user will apply to your setup. The evidence here does not establish a reliable resolution.

Do you need a DualSense controller?
The project author listed DualSense controls as a supported feature in the September 26 announcement, so an existing DualSense is relevant for input. The announcement does not show that you need to buy a new controller, and a controller cannot be assumed to fix a file-access or sandbox error.
