What the expired 12-month offer included
Sony announced that eligible new members in participating countries could save up to 33% on a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership during Days of Play 2026. The sale ran May 27–June 10, and local terms determined which tiers and customers qualified. Sony also said current members could receive 33% off the remaining membership period when upgrading from Essential or Extra to Premium or Deluxe during the promotion. How much PS Plus Premium costs in the US now
Sony’s US plan page, accessed October 8, 2026, lists Premium at $159.99 for 12 months, $54.99 for three months, or $19.99 for one month. Sony describes the annual plan as 33% less than paying for twelve monthly memberships at the listed monthly rate. That standard annual-versus-monthly comparison is separate from the expired Days of Play offer. Prices and promotions can differ by country, so check the price shown in your own PlayStation Store account before buying.

What Premium adds, and when the extra tier may be worthwhile
Premium includes the core PlayStation Plus benefits, plus access to the Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, Game Trials and cloud streaming. It may suit players who expect to use those additions enough to justify the higher price. If you mainly want the core benefits, or do not expect to use the Classics Catalog, trials or streaming, compare Essential and Extra in your local store before committing. Catalog games and service availability can change and vary by region, tier, platform and device; a specific title is not guaranteed to remain available. Sony’s plan page outlines the tiers, while its PS Plus Usage Terms describe service limitations.
Check the renewal price before subscribing
A promotional price applies to the initial purchase, not necessarily to renewals. Sony’s subscription terms say later recurring payments use the then-current regular PlayStation Store price and the billing frequency attached to the subscription. The terms also say cancellation stops future payments while access continues through the already-paid period. Check the renewal amount and date shown during checkout, especially if buying an offer with automatic renewal. Sony’s UK PS Plus Usage Terms state that a promotional discount applies to the initial purchase price only; the local terms and checkout govern your account.

Turn off auto-renewal on PS5
- Open Settings.
- Go to Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select PlayStation Plus and follow the on-screen cancellation or auto-renewal controls.
Do not confuse the October console bundle with a 12-month discount
Sony has announced a separate US promotion scheduled for October 10–21, 2026: eligible customers who buy and activate a new PS5 or PS5 Pro can claim three months of Premium. It is a console-purchase bundle, not a discounted 12-month membership. The US terms require an eligible customer to be at least 18 and have a US-registered PSN account. New subscribers must claim by October 25; existing subscribers receive a console notification and must redeem by October 30. The offer is limited to one claim per user, is non-transferable, cannot be combined with other offers and has different treatment depending on whether the account is new or already subscribed. New subscribers automatically renew every three months at the then-current price after the included period unless they cancel. Review the full US console bundle terms before relying on eligibility or renewal details.
