R.E.P.O.’s v0.3.0 Monster Update went live on Steam on October 30, 2025. It added 10 enemies, new ways for dead and tumbled players to interact with the world, more valuables and rooms across several locations, and a broad set of gameplay fixes. The patch notes do not name all 10 enemies, so there is no complete, confirmed roster to list here.
What is the R.E.P.O. Monster Update?
The Monster Update is the historical name for R.E.P.O. version 0.3.0, announced as live on Steam by Semiwork on October 30, 2025. The Steam event described it as a “New major content update now live!” Read the Steam event announcement. The patch details below are reproduced by Insider Gaming’s patch-notes coverage.
This is not the game’s latest-version guide: Steam’s announcement feed lists v0.4.4 dated May 25, 2026, after v0.3.0. That feed entry does not establish whether a later update followed v0.4.4. See Semiwork’s Steam announcement feed.
New enemies and player abilities
Ten new enemies
The v0.3.0 notes say the update added 10 enemies, but the available published notes do not provide their complete names. Treat lists claiming to identify all ten with caution unless they cite a separate, reliable roster.

Death Head Possession
A battery recharges while a player is dead. The player can spend that charge to possess their own head and interact with living teammates, giving eliminated players a way to affect the run rather than simply wait.
Tumble Grab and new upgrades
Tumble Grab lets players pick up objects, items and weapons while tumbled. The update also introduced the Death Head Battery and Tumble Climb upgrades, supporting the new possession and tumble interactions.

New valuables and rooms by location
Version 0.3.0 added the following location-specific content. The update also made valuables unique to each level instead of having levels share the same valuables.

Other changes and balance adjustments
- The main-menu music and room ambience changed.
- Players gained damage immunity during the level outro.
- Crouch Rest’s stationary tumble behavior was adjusted.
- The Shadow Child deals more damage and pulls players harder.
- Phase Bridge remains where it is released and automatically aligns.
- Torque Drone and Zero Gravity Drone battery-drain penalties are lower when the drones are attached to enemies.
- Rich presence and additional Tax Man truck-chat messages were added.
- An auto-hold option for unequipped items was added. The reproduced notes say it is on by default for existing players and off by default for new players.
- A control to restore a save from backup was added.
Notable fixes in v0.3.0
Movement, revival and enemies
The patch fixed player stuck and jump problems, as well as cases where revived players fell through the level. Enemy fixes addressed endless spinning after grabbing multiple players, enemies getting stuck or jumping into pits, Bowtie’s lingering yell particles, Chef damaging players through walls, and the timing of Peeper’s forced release.
C.A.R.T. behavior
Fixes covered the C.A.R.T. resetting after a player disconnected while holding it, steering while inside the vehicle, and the C.A.R.T. Cannon becoming disabled at extraction.

Saves, shops and valuables
The notes list fixes for corrupted saves and saves being deleted after a team revival followed by the host leaving. They also address item duplication when a player dies in the shop and valuables on ledges that were difficult to discover from low viewing angles.
Other bug fixes
Additional fixes addressed item lights, upgrade particles, truck countdowns, UI counters, aiming and settings, issues in several locations, and memory use.
