Razer and Sentinels did launch a mouse together: the Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition, announced on November 1, 2024. It is a red, co-branded version of the Viper V3 Pro—not an entirely new mouse platform. In 2026, it remains an appealing choice for Sentinels fans and discounted Viper buyers, but Razer’s newer Viper V4 Pro is now the company’s current flagship.
What exactly did Razer and Sentinels launch?
The product is the Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition, a special-edition Viper V3 Pro with a metallic red finish and Sentinels branding. Its core hardware and performance specifications come from the standard Viper V3 Pro family.
Three separate events are easy to confuse:
- April 23, 2024: Razer announced the original Viper V3 Pro.
- June 11, 2024: Razer announced its broader partnership with Sentinels, initially highlighting the Razer Iskur V2 as the team’s official gaming chair.
- November 1, 2024: Razer announced the co-branded Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition.
That timeline means the Sentinels mouse was a later collaboration built around an existing Razer esports mouse, rather than a completely separate design created from scratch.

These are manufacturer specifications and claims. Actual battery life depends on settings, polling rate and usage. Similarly, an 8,000 Hz polling mode can reduce the interval between reports, but it does not guarantee a noticeable competitive advantage for every player or setup.

How did Sentinels and zekken influence the mouse?
Razer says competitive players, including Sentinels player Zachary “zekken” Patrone, provided input during development of the Viper V3 Pro. In Razer’s account, that input helped inform decisions such as moving the DPI button to the underside and using larger mouse feet. Razer describes the resulting Viper as refined with esports-player feedback.
That is different from saying Sentinels developed a new sensor or that the team edition has a separate competitive platform. Player use and tournament success demonstrate preference and sponsorship context; they are not independent proof that the mouse will improve an ordinary player’s aim.
Release date and launch price
Pre-orders for the Sentinels Edition opened on November 1, 2024, with worldwide availability planned for the fourth quarter of 2024. Its launch MSRP was $179.99 in the United States and €199.99 in Europe, according to Razer’s announcement.

The practical distinction is mostly appearance and ownership appeal:

There is no evidence in the supplied specifications of a Sentinels-exclusive sensor, shell architecture, wireless system or switch technology. If the regular Viper V3 Pro is substantially cheaper, it offers the more rational purchase for buyers who care only about performance and prefer the same shape.
Sentinels Edition vs. the Viper V4 Pro in 2026
The Viper V4 Pro, announced on March 24, 2026, is Razer’s newer Viper successor. Its headline updates include:

The Viper V4 Pro is therefore the default choice for buyers seeking Razer’s newest Viper hardware. The higher DPI ceiling is not itself a reason to expect better aim—most players should prioritize shape, grip, control, comfort and reliable wireless performance instead.

Buy it if you are a Sentinels fan
The red team branding is the main reason to choose this model over an otherwise equivalent Viper V3 Pro. It makes sense for supporters, collectors and buyers who want their desk setup to reflect the team.
Buy it if the discount is meaningful
At a substantial discount from its $179.99 launch MSRP, the Sentinels Edition can still be a capable lightweight wireless FPS mouse. The value is stronger when its price is clearly below the V4 Pro and you already like the V3 Pro’s shape.

Choose the regular Viper V3 Pro for value
If team branding does not matter, compare the standard Viper V3 Pro first. The core performance platform is the same, so paying a premium solely for the finish is a personal preference rather than a technical upgrade.
Choose the Viper V4 Pro for current-generation hardware
Buy the V4 Pro when the latest sensor, lower weight, newer wireless system, Gen-4 switches and optical scroll wheel matter more than Sentinels branding or a lower price.
Consider another shape if you need palm support
Both Viper models use a lightweight, symmetrical right-handed esports shape. Players who need a deeply ergonomic or palm-focused design should assess the fit before buying; headline sensor numbers cannot compensate for an uncomfortable shape.
Software, compatibility and buying checks
Razer’s advanced configuration and firmware features use Razer Synapse. Keep the mouse and software current rather than assuming every feature will behave identically on outdated firmware. Before ordering, confirm that the listing specifically says Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition; Razer’s lineup also includes the regular Viper V3 Pro, other special editions and the Viper V4 Pro.
Availability can vary by country and stock position. Verify the currency, shipping region, return terms and warranty at checkout. Razer and Sentinels may show different prices at the same time.

Verdict
The Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition is a legitimate Razer–Sentinels collaboration, but it is best understood as a co-branded special edition of the Viper V3 Pro. Its 54 g body, 35K sensor, 8,000 Hz polling and optical switches still make it a serious competitive FPS mouse. In 2026, buy it for the Sentinels identity, the red finish or a strong discount—not because it is Razer’s newest Viper. For current-generation performance, the Viper V4 Pro is the more relevant comparison.
