Razer’s Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition is a Sentinels-branded version of the existing Viper V3 Pro, not a new mouse generation. Announced on November 1, 2024, it pairs the same 54-gram wireless performance platform with a metallic-red finish and team branding. The hardware claims include a 35K sensor, polling up to 8,000 Hz and battery life of up to 95 hours; prices vary by retailer and promotion.
What is different about the Sentinels Edition?
Razer announced the collaboration with esports organization Sentinels on November 1, 2024. The result is a special edition of the Viper V3 Pro rather than a successor or a new mouse design. Razer’s announcement presents it as a team-themed take on the existing platform.
The mouse has a metallic-red finish, Sentinels branding and the Viper V3 Pro’s symmetrical shape. The principal difference is visual and collectible appeal; first-party product descriptions do not identify a separate performance tier or exclusive tuning for this edition.

The 35K sensor label describes a stated maximum resolution capability, not a recommended 35,000 DPI setting. A larger DPI figure alone does not establish better in-game performance.
Price and availability
Razer’s November 2024 launch announcement listed a US$179.99 MSRP and a €199.99 MSRP. Pre-orders opened through Razer.com, RazerStores and Sentinels.gg on November 1, 2024, with broader availability planned for Q4 2024.

Prices observed on U.S. listings differ: Razer showed the Sentinels Edition for US$129.99 against a displayed US$179.99 original price, while Sentinels’ store listed it at US$179.99. These are retailer-specific observations, not a universal or guaranteed current price; check availability, shipping, returns and warranty terms for your region.

Sentinels Edition vs. standard Viper V3 Pro
The key choice is whether the team styling is worth the price difference to you. The listed core performance features align with the standard Viper V3 Pro; the Sentinels Edition’s premium is for its red finish and branding, not an advertised hardware upgrade.

Is 8,000 Hz polling useful?
Polling rate is how often the mouse reports its position to the computer. A higher rate can provide more frequent updates, but it does not automatically improve aim. The practical value depends on the game, frame rate, monitor refresh rate and how the PC handles the extra processing overhead. Higher polling can also affect battery use.

Razer says the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle is included for operation up to 8,000 Hz. That does not mean the maximum rate is automatically enabled in every setup: check the current package listing and configure the mouse in software. Players with high-refresh-rate systems may want to try higher polling, but the headline number alone is not a reason to choose this edition.

Who should buy it?
- Sentinels supporters and collectors: It offers official team styling on the Viper V3 Pro platform.
- Competitive FPS players: Consider it if you already like the Viper V3 Pro’s symmetrical shape, low weight and wireless feature set. Fit depends on hand size, grip and side-button placement, so the shape is not universal.
- Value-focused buyers: The standard Viper V3 Pro is the more direct choice when it costs less and team branding is not important.
- Players wanting an ergonomic right-handed shell: The symmetrical Viper shape may not suit your preference; compare shapes rather than choosing by sensor or polling-rate figures alone.
- Buyers seeking a new generation: This is a themed V3 Pro edition, not a newer generation of the mouse.
