Its launch configuration pairs 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite, gaming controls, display and cooling system remain those of the regular 10 Pro. The appeal is the look and, depending on the market, its position as the entry configuration—not a performance boost.
What is the REDMAGIC 10 Pro Lightspeed Edition?
Lightspeed is a standalone retail variant introduced in January 2025. REDMAGIC presented it as a new design for the REDMAGIC 10 Pro, and its launch specification was 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is not a successor to the 10 Pro, a Pro+ model, or a special performance tier. The name does not indicate a different processor or cooling revision. REDMAGIC’s announcement describes the white model and its configuration; Notebookcheck’s launch coverage likewise identifies the change as primarily a colorway.
What changes in the design?
The distinguishing feature is an all-white exterior, offering a cleaner, more restrained look than the darker Shadow or the more visually elaborate finishes in the 10 Pro range. The phone retains the family’s flat-backed design, with no raised camera island. It is a visual makeover rather than a redesigned chassis or a change to the internal hardware. Some launch coverage likened the white finish to a Stormtrooper aesthetic; that is a description of its appearance, not an official limited-edition designation.
Does Lightspeed have different gaming hardware?
No meaningful performance difference has been identified between Lightspeed and the regular REDMAGIC 10 Pro. Both use the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, RedCore 3 gaming auxiliary chip, ICE-X active cooling system and the same headline gaming features. The 12GB/256GB Lightspeed SKU has less memory and storage than higher-tier 10 Pro configurations, but its color does not bring a faster processor, display or cooling architecture. REDMAGIC’s 10 Pro specifications and configuration guide are useful references for distinguishing shared platform features from SKU differences.

REDMAGIC 10 Pro Lightspeed specifications
The table describes the Lightspeed launch configuration and the shared 10 Pro platform. Manufacturer figures marked “up to” are maximum or peak specifications, not guaranteed performance in every condition. Regional versions can vary in network compatibility, charger, software and warranty.
| Specification | REDMAGIC 10 Pro Lightspeed |
|---|---|
| Launch memory and storage | 12GB RAM, 256GB storage |

| Touch sampling | Up to 2,500Hz peak, according to REDMAGIC; other sampling figures may refer to different modes or conditions |
| Peak brightness | Up to 2,000 nits, rated peak |

| Ports and SIM | USB-C/USB 3.2, 3.5mm headphone jack and dual nano-SIM |
| Weight | Approximately 229g |
| Ingress protection | IP54 |
These figures come from REDMAGIC’s specifications page. Its general 10 Pro specifications describe the wider family, while the product page and configuration guide identify Lightspeed as the 12GB/256GB option. IP54 is splash and dust resistance, not equivalent to the stronger water protection offered by some IP68- or IP69-rated phones.
How does Lightspeed compare with other 10 Pro configurations?
REDMAGIC’s configuration guide groups Lightspeed with Shadow at the entry memory and storage tier. Higher-capacity finishes may be a better match if you keep a large game library or record and store substantial amounts of video. Exact options vary by region, so check the regional product selector rather than assuming every color and configuration is offered everywhere.

Launch price, current US listing and availability
At launch, reported prices were $649 in the United States, €649 in the European Union, £579 in the United Kingdom and S$999 in Singapore. Launch reporting said open sales began January 13, 2025, while REDMAGIC’s regional announcement appeared later in January; January 2025 is the dependable launch timeframe rather than a universal shipment date. FoneArena’s launch report covers the sale timing and regional prices.
As observed on August 18, 2026, REDMAGIC’s US product page displayed Lightspeed at $599 against a $649 reference price. That is a dated listing, not a guaranteed ongoing promotion. The product page exposed the configuration, but the store’s collection page also showed the 10 Pro range as sold out, leaving actual stock unclear. Availability and price are therefore region- and inventory-dependent; check the relevant REDMAGIC product page and US collection page before buying.

Is 12GB RAM and 256GB storage enough?
For many players, 12GB of RAM is ample for gaming and ordinary multitasking, and Lightspeed shares the same processor and display as higher-memory 10 Pro models. Storage is the more consequential compromise: a broad library of large games, gameplay recordings, emulators and offline media can make 256GB restrictive. If you want to keep substantial content on the phone, prioritize a higher-storage configuration over the white finish. The cited configuration guide does not list a higher-capacity Lightspeed SKU, so do not assume one exists in your market without checking the live selector.
Who should choose the Lightspeed Edition?
- It makes sense if you specifically want the white finish, are comfortable with 256GB, and value the 10 Pro’s gaming-first features: active cooling, shoulder triggers, a full-screen display and headphone jack.
- Look elsewhere if you need 512GB or 1TB, put camera performance first, prefer a lighter handset, or need stronger water protection than IP54.
- Check practical fit before ordering: the phone weighs about 229g, its fan and performance modes suit gaming more than silent everyday use, and regional network-band compatibility and carrier certification should be verified for your operator.
- For existing 10 Pro owners: Lightspeed is not a hardware upgrade. The reason to switch would be the finish, not a performance gain.
Software support and US purchase terms
REDMAGIC’s current US product page states five years of software support, including major Android updates and regular security patches, for customers in the European Union and United Kingdom under rules effective June 20, 2025. It states three years for other regions. These are support-duration claims, not a specified number of Android-version upgrades. The same US page lists a 12-month phone warranty, six-month accessory warranty and 15-day returns; those are US-store terms and should not be assumed to apply globally. See the regional product listing for current terms and its carrier-compatibility checker.
