RedMagic announced the 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ in China on October 17, 2025. Both are gaming-first Android phones built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, active cooling, 144Hz full-screen AMOLED displays and physical shoulder triggers. The important buying caveat is that the China Pro/Pro+ specifications do not map neatly to the current global REDMAGIC 11 Pro page: battery and charging figures differ, so availability and the exact hardware must be checked for the buyer’s market.
What RedMagic announced
The two phones target players who want sustained performance, hardware controls and long sessions rather than a conventional camera flagship. Launch coverage reported China prices starting at CNY 4,999 for the 11 Pro and CNY 5,699 for the 11 Pro+, with a top 11 Pro+ configuration reported at CNY 7,699. Those are China launch prices from October 17, 2025, not current US or worldwide retail prices; taxes, storage tiers, shipping, promotions and regional warranties can change the landed cost.
Both models use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as their main application and gaming processor. RedMagic adds its RedCore R4 gaming chip for functions such as input and gaming optimization; it is not a replacement for the Snapdragon system-on-chip. The global product page lists up to 24GB of LPDDR5T memory and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage. That much RAM mainly provides multitasking headroom. It does not, by itself, raise a game’s frame rate, while 1TB is most useful to players with large installed libraries.

Cooling is the defining hardware feature
RedMagic’s approach is designed to hold performance for longer than a passively cooled phone. The global page lists a 13,116mm² vapor chamber, Liquid Metal 3.0 thermal material, a 24,000RPM waterproof turbo fan, flowing liquid-cooling architecture, an aluminum mid-frame and a separate air-duct design. Launch coverage gives the Pro+ particular emphasis as the more advanced liquid-cooling implementation.
In practice, a fan can move heat away during extended play, charging or demanding emulation, reducing the likelihood that the processor immediately throttles. The trade-offs are mechanical complexity, potential fan noise and a physical air path that can collect dust. No independent long-duration thermal, noise or sustained-frame-rate test is established by the available sources, so these specifications should not be treated as proof of a particular temperature or performance advantage.
The global page says the phone achieved IPX8 in controlled laboratory testing. That rating is not a promise of permanent protection, dustproof construction or safe charging while wet. RedMagic warns that resistance can decline with wear, dust may enter the cooling duct and the phone should not be charged when wet.

Display and physical controls
The panel is a 6.85-inch AMOLED with 2,688 × 1,216 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, a claimed 1,800-nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio. Wet-hand touch mode is also listed. A 144Hz screen can make supported games and menus look smoother, but many games render below 144 frames per second, so the refresh-rate number is not a guaranteed in-game frame rate.
RedMagic claims up to 3,000Hz instant touch sampling and 520Hz shoulder triggers. Touch sampling describes how often the digitizer checks for input; it is different from display refresh and does not equal measured end-to-end latency. The shoulder controls can be mapped to actions in shooters, racing games and emulators, where keeping thumbs on the display while using extra inputs is useful. Their benefit depends on a game’s mapping options and on whether the player likes the layout.
The flat-back design avoids a conventional camera bump. The phone also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, useful for wired headsets and players who do not want a USB adapter.

RedMagic 11 Pro versus 11 Pro+
The following figures are the China-launch specifications reported by GizChina. They should not be silently applied to every international SKU.

The current global 11 Pro page instead lists a 7,500mAh battery with up to 80W wired and 80W wireless charging. That is a material discrepancy, not a detail to average together. It may reflect regional naming, a different configuration or a later global specification. Confirm the exact model page for the country where you will buy before comparing capacity, chargers or accessories.
Battery life and charging trade-offs
For the China-reported pair, the decision is straightforward: choose the larger 8,000mAh Pro if endurance matters more than recharge speed, or the 7,500mAh Pro+ if 120W wired charging and 80W wireless charging matter more. Charging speed is also affected by the supplied charger, cable, temperature and whether the phone is being used at the same time.

On the global 11 Pro page, RedMagic claims 34.1 hours of daily use and 7.4 hours of Genshin Impact at full frame rate. These are RedMagic laboratory figures, not independent battery-test results; real endurance varies with brightness, network conditions, game settings, ambient temperature and charging behavior. Charge-separation and battery-protection features are intended to reduce battery stress while gaming on power, but they do not eliminate heat.

Launch coverage lists a 50MP main rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide and a 16MP under-display front camera. The global page adds optical image stabilization on the main camera, an additional 2MP camera and AI-assisted front-camera functions. No independent samples or camera measurements are established here, so these phones should be assessed as gaming devices first rather than assumed to match camera-focused flagships.
The global specification list also includes dual SIM, USB 3.2 Gen 2, NFC and Bluetooth 5.4. The under-display camera enables the uninterrupted display, but image quality can involve compromises compared with a conventional punch-hole design; independent testing would be needed to quantify them.

REDMAGIC OS 11.0 and gaming tools
The phones run REDMAGIC OS 11.0. Game Space and related tools include Scout Mode, custom crosshairs, motion control, AI Trigger, multi-screen mode, flexible gameplay recording, custom display ratios and orientation controls, an on-screen joystick and sensitivity adjustments. The global page also highlights Google Gemini and RedMagic AI Input.
These are optional utilities, not universal competitive advantages. Overlays, automated inputs, crosshairs and motion controls may be restricted by a game’s terms, anti-cheat system or tournament rules. Check the rules for each title before using AI Trigger or similar features. The available information does not establish a guaranteed Android-version or security-update schedule.
Availability, pricing and regional checks
A China announcement does not establish worldwide availability, US carrier compatibility or local warranty coverage. Before ordering, confirm all of the following on the official regional store at global.redmagic.gg:
- Exact model name, battery capacity and wired/wireless charging specification.
- Supported cellular bands, dual-SIM or eSIM support and the supplied charger.
- Warranty territory, repair arrangements and return terms.
- Storage and memory tier, software region and current stock.
- Whether gaming utilities are enabled in your software version and permitted in your games.
Do not convert CNY 4,999, CNY 5,699 or CNY 7,699 into a supposed current US price. A converted figure omits taxes, import costs, shipping, promotions and regional pricing. The official product page and store are the appropriate sources for a market-specific purchase decision.

Choose the 11 Pro when
- Sustained gaming, a built-in fan and shoulder controls matter more than camera performance.
- You prefer the larger battery in the China-reported configuration.
- You want a headphone jack and uninterrupted full-screen display.
- Your local model has the bands, warranty and software support you need.
Consider the 11 Pro+ when
- Fast wired charging is a priority.
- Wireless charging is important and the Pro+ configuration is officially sold in your market.
- You accept the reported 7,500mAh capacity in exchange for charging speed and premium cooling.
Look elsewhere when
- Photography, compact ergonomics or understated design outrank gaming controls.
- You need confirmed local carrier support and a clearly stated long-term update policy.
- Fan noise, mechanical parts or the possibility of dust entering the cooling duct are unacceptable.
- You play competitively under rules that prohibit automation or overlay tools.
The Bottom Line
The RedMagic 11 Pro series is compelling for performance-first gamers who value active cooling, physical triggers, a high-refresh full-screen display and a headphone jack. The Pro-versus-Pro+ choice is mainly endurance versus charging speed—but only after verifying the regional SKU. The China launch report and global product page disagree on the 11 Pro’s battery and charging, so local specifications, warranty and network compatibility should decide the purchase.
