Nubia’s REDMAGIC 11 Pro+ Golden Saga Edition is a limited-edition gaming phone, not a new performance platform. Announced for China and released in January 2026, it combines the 11-series flagship hardware with sapphire glass, carbon-fiber design elements, gold-plated thermal components, and a collector bundle. The China-market model costs ¥9,899 in a single 24GB RAM/1TB storage configuration.
Internationally, the corresponding phone is generally sold as the REDMAGIC 11 Pro Golden Saga Limited Edition. REDMAGIC’s international page lists it at $1,599, although the U.S. listing was out of stock when checked on August 16, 2026. The regional names should not be treated as proof that every band, firmware feature, charging specification, or warranty term is identical.
What Nubia announced
The official Chinese name is REDMAGIC 11 Pro+ GOLDEN SAGA 臻金传奇・限量典藏版. Chinese reservations opened in early January 2026, with sales beginning around January 20. REDMAGIC’s international preorder announcement began on January 19, 2026, at 6:30 a.m. EST. Chinese launch coverage and REDMAGIC’s international announcement describe the same collector-oriented concept under different regional names.

Why it is called 11 Pro+ in China and 11 Pro internationally
Chinese retail listings and launch reports use REDMAGIC 11 Pro+, while international REDMAGIC stores generally call the phone the REDMAGIC 11 Pro Golden Saga Limited Edition. That naming difference matters when importing one.
Buyers should verify the exact model number and market specification before ordering. The Chinese 11 Pro+ product family was listed with 120W wired and 80W wireless charging, while international pages emphasize 80W wireless charging and may describe other specifications differently. Cellular bands, firmware, Google-service configuration, OTA updates, payment-app compatibility, charger hardware, and warranty support can also vary by region.
In other words, the global 11 Pro Golden Saga should not automatically be assumed to be an identical China 11 Pro+ handset with a translated name.
What “gold-plated liquid cooling” actually means
The phrase does not mean that the phone is filled with gold or that its entire cooling system is made from solid gold. REDMAGIC’s design combines several thermal technologies:
- A liquid-cooled thermal system with a visible “flowing gold” effect.
- A large vapor chamber, including gold-plated thermal surfaces or fins.
- An internal high-speed turbo fan.
- Gold-and-silver composite air ducts or thermal channels.
- Additional gold-plated or gold-accented controls, branding, and accessories.
REDMAGIC calls the international cooling architecture AquaCore Cooling. The company says the gold and silver elements improve heat transfer and airflow while giving the phone its distinctive appearance. Gold can be useful as a plated material because of its thermal and oxidation-resistance properties, but the presence of gold plating does not by itself guarantee a dramatic frame-rate increase.
The most accurate description is therefore a liquid-cooled, fan-assisted vapor-chamber system with gold-plated and gold-and-silver thermal components. The “flowing gold” language refers primarily to the visual presentation of the cooling system and its gold-colored liquid-cooling section; it is not proof that the liquid itself contains gold.

The following figures combine the reported China configuration with specifications listed on REDMAGIC’s international pages. Regional differences apply, particularly for charging and display claims.

REDMAGIC’s Singapore specification page lists a 13,116mm² gold-plated 3D vapor chamber and a 24,000 RPM waterproof turbo fan. Brightness figures vary by regional material: one earlier official article says 2,000 nits, while the Singapore page lists 1,800 nits maximum. Use the specification page for the market where you intend to buy rather than merging every regional figure into one universal sheet.
Which parts are actually gold-plated?
Official descriptions identify gold plating on selected internal and decorative components, including:

- Selected cooling components.

- The included SIM-card pin.
Other pieces are described as gold-accented or gold-colored rather than explicitly gold-plated. These include the visible liquid-cooling effect, the charger, the data cable, and some exterior trim. The phone is not a solid-gold device, and the marketing should not be interpreted that way.
Price, preorder timing, and availability
China
The China-market Golden Saga costs ¥9,899 for the 24GB/1TB configuration. Chinese sales began around January 20, 2026. Official store inventory and checkout status can change, so buyers in China should confirm availability directly through the REDMAGIC Chinese store or the Nubia store listing.
International markets
REDMAGIC’s U.S. product page listed the 24GB/1TB bundle at $1,599. That page showed the product as out of stock on August 16, 2026. Other regional storefronts use different local prices and may also show limited or sold-out inventory; availability is not universal simply because an international product page exists.
The Chinese ¥9,899 price and U.S. $1,599 price are regional list prices, not a direct currency conversion. Taxes, shipping, import duties, and warranty terms can further change the final cost.
What comes in the collector bundle?
The international bundle includes:
- REDMAGIC 11 Pro Golden Saga phone with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
- Exclusive Kevlar protective case.
- Golden Edition REDMAGIC VC Cooler 6 Pro.
- Gold-accented charger and data cable.

This bundle helps explain why the price premium is not solely attached to the phone’s internal plating. The cooler and collector accessories have practical or collectible value, although buyers should confirm whether the included charger uses the plug and charging standard required in their country.

What is broadly shared
The Golden Saga retains the 11-series gaming-phone foundation: a flagship Snapdragon platform, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, gaming-focused software, shoulder-trigger-style gaming features, and an active cooling philosophy. It is aimed at the same users who want sustained performance in demanding Android games.

- Gold-plated vapor-chamber components.
- Gold-and-silver composite air ducts.
- Distinctive flowing-gold cooling presentation.
- Exclusive branding and colorway.

- A single top-end 24GB/1TB configuration.
Chinese coverage reported the standard 24GB/1TB REDMAGIC 11 Pro+ at ¥7,699. Against that figure, the Golden Saga’s ¥9,899 price represents a premium of approximately ¥2,200 before assigning value to the cooler, case, accessories, materials, and limited-edition scarcity. The reported China pricing comparison makes clear that the Golden Saga is not primarily a value upgrade.

The engineering concept is plausible: a vapor chamber, liquid-cooling system, composite air ducts, and active fan can provide more thermal-management capacity than passive cooling alone. REDMAGIC says the gold and silver components improve heat transfer and airflow and are intended to help sustain performance during extended gaming sessions.
However, the available material does not establish an independent, controlled temperature or frame-rate comparison against the standard 11 Pro or 11 Pro+. There is no verified apples-to-apples result showing how much performance comes specifically from the gold plating. Nor is there independent long-term data proving that the liquid-cooling system will last longer because of its materials.

The fair conclusion is that the Golden Saga has a more elaborate and visually distinctive cooling implementation. It should not be purchased on the assumption that gold plating alone will deliver a proportionate gaming improvement.

Liquid-cooling safety and ownership concerns
REDMAGIC’s FAQ addresses leakage concerns and says the AquaCore system was engineered with safety in mind. That is the company’s position, not independent failure-rate validation. No liquid-cooling system should be described as incapable of leaking.
Do not disassemble the phone to inspect the cooling assembly. Warranty treatment for liquid damage, accidental damage, opened devices, imported Chinese units, and repairs can differ by region. A damaged sapphire rear panel or limited-edition cooling assembly may also be more difficult or expensive to repair than a standard model.
Practical considerations include fan noise, dust accumulation, thermal throttling in very hot environments, and reduced battery longevity after sustained high-temperature or high-wattage gaming. Buying the China model versus the international model
Importing the China-market 11 Pro+ can make sense for an experienced buyer who understands regional firmware and support limitations. Before paying, verify:
- The exact model number and supported LTE/5G bands for your carrier.
- Whether Google services are available and officially supported in the intended software region.
- OTA update behavior and the bootloader policy.
- Compatibility with banking, payment, streaming, and enterprise apps.
- Warranty coverage, repair location, and return shipping terms.
- Charger plug type, charging protocols, and the actual wired/wireless charging specification.
- Import taxes and whether the seller provides a real written warranty.
An imported Chinese 11 Pro+ is not automatically equivalent to a locally sold global 11 Pro. Carrier compatibility and software support should be treated as purchase prerequisites, not after-sale details.
Who should buy it?
The Golden Saga makes the most sense for collectors, REDMAGIC enthusiasts who want the top 24GB/1TB configuration, and gamers who specifically value the included external cooler and limited-edition construction. Its premium materials and packaging are meaningful if exclusivity is part of the appeal.
It is harder to justify for value-focused gamers, owners of a standard 11 Pro or 11 Pro+ with the same core chipset, and buyers expecting substantially better cameras or dramatically higher frame rates. The phone is also heavy: the Singapore specification lists 252g before adding the case or cooler.
Verdict
The REDMAGIC 11 Pro+ Golden Saga Edition is a genuine collector-focused flagship with an unusually elaborate cooling design. “Gold-plated liquid cooling” refers to plated thermal components and gold-and-silver composite airflow parts integrated into a liquid-cooled, vapor-chamber-and-fan system—not a phone made of solid gold.
For gamers, the cooling architecture may help sustain performance, but the available evidence does not prove a dramatic advantage over the standard 11 Pro/11 Pro+. The ¥2,200 China premium is therefore mainly paying for materials, the 24GB/1TB-only configuration, the bundled VC Cooler 6 Pro, accessories, and exclusivity. Check the regional model, stock, bands, software, and warranty before buying—especially when importing the China-market version.
