There is no universal Riot Points (RP) exchange rate to U.S. dollars. Use the price and RP amount shown for your account’s region at League of Legends checkout, then calculate USD per RP = checkout price ÷ RP credited. This gives an implied purchase cost—not a cash value, refund amount, or guaranteed resale price.

The last formula estimates a proportional cost. If your target does not match a bundle, you may have to buy a larger bundle and keep the extra RP; the actual amount charged is the price of the bundle you choose.
Example using a reported North American bundle
LoLTheory’s guide, updated August 25, 2026, reports a North American bundle of 13,500 RP for $99.99. Based on those reported figures, the implied rate is about 135 RP per dollar, or about $7.41 per 1,000 RP before any tax. Why your RP-to-USD result depends on region and bundle
Riot sets RP bundles by region and currency, so a rate calculated from one account’s checkout does not necessarily apply to another. Riot says its pricing reviews consider currency movements, inflation, taxes, and regional fairness. RP is the premium currency for League of Legends on PC/Mac. Other Riot games and platforms may use different currencies, so do not apply an LoL PC/Mac RP calculation to a mobile title or another game. Riot’s currency clarification

What current U.S. pricing information establishes
Riot’s 2026 pricing update says U.S. base RP prices are not changing in that update, while state sales tax may add 8–10%, depending on location. The stated range is tax guidance, not a conversion fee, and Riot’s page does not provide a complete current U.S. bundle table. How to get the right number for your purchase
- Open the League of Legends client for the account you plan to use.
- Open the RP purchase option and select the region-appropriate payment method and bundle.
- Note the RP that will be credited and the final USD total shown at checkout, including any tax presented there.
- Enter those two figures into the formulas above. Label the result with the account region, bundle, date, and whether tax is included.
Do not convert a target RP amount into a promise of what Riot will charge unless a bundle matches it exactly. The estimate is proportional; the checkout price is determined by the available bundle and payment option.

Buying RP with a prepaid or gift code
Riot calls prepaid cards and gift cards, including Riot PIN, “cash codes.” They can provide premium currency such as RP. Riot says cash codes are region locked, redeem only on PC versions of games, and apply to one game per code. Buy from a trusted, authorized seller; Riot warns it cannot guarantee the legitimacy, availability, or validity of codes from unauthorized third parties. Riot Support’s cash-code guidance
A prepaid RP card cannot be used in the client’s Gifting Center. If you want to give a friend RP, Riot says you can send an eligible gift through the client, or send the friend a card PIN for them to redeem.
