The Rooms’ three main threats are A-60, A-90 and A-120. Listen for A-60 behind you and hide, watch for A-120 approaching from ahead and stay covered until its sound completely ends, and freeze every input when A-90 appears. If A-90 interrupts while another entity is active, deal with A-90 first.

How to beat A-60
A-60 moves quickly from behind and damages players in its path if they are not hidden. Its distorted static-like cue is important because the wiki says there is no normal lights-flicker warning to rely on.
- After opening a door, listen for the static-like sound.
- If you hear it, get into a nearby locker rather than trying to outrun the entity.
- Stay hidden until A-60 has passed, then continue.
The wiki says A-60 generally appears after A-060, but notes exceptions and modifier interactions. Treat that as a route expectation, not a guarantee or a spawn-probability rule.

How to beat A-90
A-90 appears on screen. As soon as it does, stop all input: do not move, turn the camera, use an item or enter a locker until it disappears. A reflexive camera turn or last-second attempt to reach cover can be the wrong move while A-90 is active.
The wiki reports that A-90 freezes other active entities. If A-60 or A-120 is also present, first remain still until A-90 is gone; then take cover from the traveling threat before it resumes.

How to beat A-120
A-120 approaches from ahead, unlike A-60’s approach from behind. The Rooms Wiki describes a static and drumming cue, which can give you time to find cover.
- When you hear the cue, do not push forward into the next room; that can put you in A-120’s path.
- Hide in a locker.
- Remain there until the drumming and other sound have fully ended. A-120 may rebound, so do not leave just because it seems to have passed once.
Prepare for the route
- Gather supplies before the first usual encounters. The wiki places these around A-060, but the timing is not a guarantee.
- Use the in-game Shakelight as backup lighting. This is an in-game item recommendation, not advice to buy a real-world product.
- Use available lockers. The wiki associates A-60 and A-120 with room layouts containing lockers; hiding is the recommended response, not attempting to outrun them.
- Expect visibility to worsen. The wiki describes the area becoming darker over the run and reaching pitch darkness by A-150; route details can change with updates.

What to do when threats overlap
- If A-90 appears, freeze all inputs immediately, even if A-60 or A-120 is active.
- Wait until A-90 disappears without moving the camera, using an item or entering a locker.
- Then respond to the traveling entity: hide from A-60, or stay hidden until A-120’s sound fully ends.
