Roblox Error Code 1011 is not currently defined in Roblox’s official error-code list. The number may belong to a particular experience, device, app, browser, network, or a misread error. Preserve the full message, check whether other experiences work, and then follow the troubleshooting path below instead of assuming 1011 has one universal cause.
What Roblox Error Code 1011 means
Roblox’s current official error-code article lists codes such as 264, 266, 267, 268, 270, 277, 279 (ID 17), 280, 403, 524, and 600, but it does not list 1011. Roblox’s error-code guidance says to contact Support when a code is not listed.
That means 1011 cannot be verified as a standardized Roblox-wide error. It could be:
- An error generated by one Roblox experience or its server scripts.
- A platform-specific message from the Roblox app, console, browser, operating system, or network.
- A temporary service or connection failure.
- A typo or misreading of another number, such as 101, 266, 268, 277, or 279.
The exact wording beside the number is more useful than “1011” alone. Write it down or capture a screenshot before closing the message.

First determine how widespread the problem is
Check Roblox service status
Open Roblox’s official status page. If it reports an incident affecting games, login, or joining experiences, wait for service to recover before changing local settings. If the status page is normal, continue with the tests below.
Try another experience
Join a well-established experience that you do not normally play. Roblox notes that a faulty or overloaded experience can fail even when the wider service is working; in that case, the experience creator is the appropriate contact. See Roblox’s general connection guidance.

Try these fixes in order
1. Record the details
Note the complete message, device and operating-system version, affected experience, whether the website and login work, and whether the problem occurs on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or another network. This prevents troubleshooting the wrong code.
2. Restart Roblox and your device
- Fully close Roblox, including the background app if your device provides that option.
- Reopen Roblox and try the same experience.
- If it still fails, restart the computer, phone, tablet, or console and test again.
Rebooting is an initial step in Roblox’s general desktop troubleshooting.

3. Test the network
- Restart the router.
- Move closer to the Wi-Fi access point or use Ethernet on a computer when available.
- Try a mobile hotspot or another trusted network.
- Avoid school, workplace, hotel, or public networks that may restrict game traffic.
Roblox identifies slow or inconsistent wireless service, firewall restrictions, and blocked network traffic as possible causes of loading and joining failures. Do not change advanced router settings until another network test shows that your local network is the differentiator.
4. Check firewall and security software
Firewalls, antivirus products, parental-control applications, DNS filters, and other security tools can block Roblox. Confirm that the official Roblox application is allowed through the firewall. You may briefly test whether security software is responsible, but re-enable protection immediately afterward. Never whitelist executables obtained from unofficial sites.
5. Fix browser launch problems
- Update your browser.
- Try another supported browser, such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
- Temporarily disable extensions, especially ad blockers and privacy or security add-ons.
- Clear the browser cache, cookies, and temporary site data.
- Restart the browser and launch Roblox again.

6. Update or reinstall Roblox
- Install any pending Roblox update.
- Uninstall Roblox.
- Restart the device.
- Reinstall Roblox from the official Roblox website or your device’s official app store.
- Sign in and test more than one experience.
Reinstallation is a reasonable remedy for a damaged or malfunctioning client, not a confirmed code-specific cure. Roblox recommends it for persistent desktop and connection problems.

Platform-specific checks
Windows and Mac
Use the restart, browser, firewall, cache, update, and reinstall steps above. On Windows, check which Microsoft Store client is installed. Roblox’s current app is named “Roblox – Windows” and has a blue icon; the older app is named “Roblox” and has a light-gray icon. After confirming the new app works, Roblox recommends uninstalling the old one to avoid launching the wrong client. This distinction is an installation check, not evidence that either app causes 1011. See Roblox’s Microsoft Store instructions.
Roblox lists UDP ports 49152–65535 in its connection guidance. Treat this as an advanced, administrator-level diagnostic only; do not reconfigure a router as your first response.
iPhone, iPad, and Android
Update Roblox and the operating system where supported, force-close the app, restart the device, and reinstall Roblox from the official store if the problem remains. Test on another trusted network before changing network settings.
Xbox
Follow Roblox’s Xbox troubleshooting guidance. If you contact Support, include your Xbox gamertag, Roblox username, exact message, and the displayed code.

PlayStation and Chromebook
Use the platform’s Roblox troubleshooting route and test the console or Chromebook’s network connection. Roblox groups current technical help by computer, mobile, PlayStation, Xbox, and Chromebook in its technical-support categories; Windows desktop instructions do not automatically apply to these devices.
Unsupported or restricted environments
- School and workplace networks may restrict ports or domains that only an administrator can change.
- Parental-control and family-safety software can block Roblox while ordinary browsing continues to work.
- VPNs and proxies can create routing or authentication problems. Test without one, but do not assume it is always the cause.
- Use the official Roblox client. Roblox warns that modified clients and software that changes Roblox behavior can trigger anti-cheat messages or account action. Emulators, rooted devices, and jailbroken devices can also be unsupported or problematic; see Roblox’s anti-cheat guidance.
- Do not download “1011 fixers,” DLL files, registry cleaners, exploit tools, or unofficial Roblox clients, and do not leave antivirus or firewall protection disabled.
When to contact Roblox Support
Escalate when 1011 appears on multiple devices and networks, every experience fails despite a normal status page, the message contains account or moderation language, or the problem survives browser, client, and reinstall troubleshooting.
Include a screenshot or video, Roblox username, device model, operating-system version, exact wording, affected experience, steps that reproduce the failure, network used, and any recent device or network changes. Roblox describes the requested information on its Contact Us page. Because 1011 is not in the published index, tell Support that the code is unlisted rather than assigning it a meaning yourself.
