Roblox Error Code 105 is most likely a server or experience join problem, especially on Xbox. Historical Xbox reports associated the code with a game or server being full, but Roblox does not currently publish a dedicated Error 105 definition in its official error-code index. Try another server or experience first, then restart Roblox and your Xbox before changing network settings.
What does Roblox Error Code 105 mean?
The strongest direct evidence is an Xbox report dated August 11, 2017, in which players described Error 105 when joining a full game or server: Roblox Developer Forum report. That is historical, community-reported evidence rather than a current universal definition.

Roblox’s official reporting section lists numerous documented codes, including 264, 266, 267, 268, 277, 279, 280, 403, 524 and 600, but not 105: official error-code support index. Meanings can vary by client, platform and experience, so read the wording shown with the number.
In practical terms, treat Error 105 as an experience-specific or server-capacity problem first. If it appears in every experience, investigate Roblox service health, Xbox, account permissions and your network instead.

Try these fixes in order

Wait briefly and try again
A server may have filled, shut down or become unavailable while your Xbox was joining. Wait a few minutes and launch the experience again. Success after waiting is consistent with a temporary server-availability problem, but does not prove the cause.

Choose another public server
If the experience exposes a server list, select a different public instance. Avoid repeatedly using the same friend invitation or stale session link.

Test another Roblox experience
Open a different popular public experience. If it works, the original game, its server or its join logic is the likely source. If every experience fails, continue with the Xbox, service-status and network checks. Roblox recommends separating one-experience failures from broader connection problems in its general connection guidance.

Fully close and relaunch Roblox
Exit the app instead of leaving it suspended in Xbox quick resume. Reopen Roblox and start the experience from its main page so the client requests a fresh session.

Restart the Xbox
Perform a complete console restart, particularly if the error began after the console resumed from standby. This clears temporary client state but cannot remove account restrictions or make a full server available.

Check Roblox service status
Visit status.roblox.com and review the Xbox App, Games and Game Join components. Status is live and can change; normal operation does not rule out a single broken experience or server.

Restart or test another network
Restart your router, then try Roblox on another connection if possible. A comparison network helps distinguish a home-network fault from an Xbox or Roblox problem. Roblox identifies firewalls, blocked access, low bandwidth and unstable wireless connections as possible causes of connection failures.

Review Xbox and family permissions
Check multiplayer, user-generated-content, communication and friend-joining permissions, along with Microsoft family restrictions and Roblox account restrictions. Family-account changes should be made by the account owner or parent or guardian. Roblox provides Xbox-specific troubleshooting through its Xbox help section.

Update or reinstall Roblox
Use this later, not as the first response to a possibly full server. An update or reinstall may repair incomplete or corrupted local files, but it will not fix an unavailable experience or a capacity limit. If Error 105 happens only in one experience
The likely causes are a full or shutting-down instance, a private or reserved server, maintenance, or a defect in that experience’s join or teleport system. Try a different public server and ask another player whether they can join. Check the experience description, official group or social channels for maintenance notices. If every other Roblox game works, contact the experience creator rather than treating the issue as a Roblox-wide outage.

A failure across multiple games points away from one server. Check the Roblox status page, restart Roblox and the console, test another network, review Xbox and family permissions, then update or reinstall the app. If the problem persists, document the pattern before contacting support.
Should you change DNS or open ports?
Do not start with DNS changes, port forwarding or VPN and firewall alterations. A third-party article recommends DNS and network fixes for Error 105, but it does not establish a current official Roblox definition: third-party error-code article. DNS changes are therefore conditional troubleshooting, not a confirmed Error 105 solution.

If you are diagnosing a broader connection problem, Roblox’s official guidance identifies UDP ports 49152–65535 as the connection range: connection requirements. Router or firewall changes should be made carefully, and security protections should not be disabled permanently.

Use the Roblox Support site when Error 105 remains after the isolation steps, especially if it affects every experience. Include:
