Sailor Piece has 10 Ascension ranks. You start the process at the Ascension NPC inside the temple on Sailor Island, then complete each rank’s level, NPC-kill, boss-kill, damage, ability-use, dungeon, and material checklist before you can ascend. The rewards are permanent percentage bonuses to Money, Gems, Luck, and, at selected ranks, cooldown reduction.

Ranks I through V consistently report +10% Money, +10% Gems, +2% CDR, and +5% Luck per rank. Ranks VI through IX consistently report +10% Money, +10% Gems, and +5% Luck. Rank X is version-sensitive: available tables disagree over whether it grants +10% or +15% Money, and their cumulative totals do not fully agree. Use the in-game panel as the final authority.

Ascension requirements at a glance

Ascension requirements are checked separately at each rank, but you must complete the ranks in order. Completing a later checklist does not let you skip an earlier rank. The Ascend button becomes available at the Ascension NPC only after every requirement for the next rank is complete.

Abbreviations: M means million, B means billion, and T means trillion. CDR means cooldown reduction. Names and rewards can change with updates, so treat the in-game Ascension panel as the final authority.

How to start Ascension

  1. Travel to Sailor Island.
  2. Enter the temple and speak to the Ascension NPC.
  3. Open the checklist for your next rank. The panel shows which level, counters, materials, dungeon clears, and special challenges are still incomplete.
  4. Finish every listed objective, then return to the NPC and select Ascend.

Ascension is a permanent late-game progression system. You cannot jump directly to Rank V, IX, or X, even if you already have some of the required materials or could otherwise satisfy the later checklist.

Ascension rewards and cumulative bonuses

The consistent reward pattern is straightforward through Rank IX:

  • Ranks I–V: each gives +10% Money, +10% Gems, +2% CDR, and +5% Luck.
  • Ranks VI–IX: each gives +10% Money, +10% Gems, and +5% Luck, with no consistently reported additional CDR.
  • Rank X: gives +10% or +15% Money in the reviewed sources, plus +10% Gems, +2% CDR, and +5% Luck.

Rank X is the important version-sensitive exception. Beebom and All Things How report +10% Money, while the Sailor Piece Wiki table reviewed for this guide reports +15% Money. The published cumulative totals also conflict: the wiki summary reports +105% Money, +100% Gems, +55% Luck, and +12% CDR, while other guides report +100% Money, +100% Gems, +50% Luck, and +10% CDR.

Those totals do not all reconcile with the individual row rewards reproduced above. For example, ten listed +5% Luck rewards add up to +50% Luck, not +55%, and adding Rank X’s reported +2% CDR to the first five ranks would produce +12% CDR. Use the reward summary in the in-game Ascension panel after each update rather than relying on an old cumulative calculation.

Material locations and farming targets

The following locations are the reported sources for the materials. Several bosses have aliases, and some drop details vary between community guides. If the boss panel or an official community announcement shows a different source in your server version, follow that information.

The reviewed material does not establish a reliable universal drop rate for these items. Plan around the required quantity, but confirm the current boss, spawn, and drop information in the in-game panel before spending time on a long farming route.

Dungeon progression and unlock requirements

Dungeons become part of Ascension early enough that unlocking them in advance is worthwhile:

  • Shadow Dungeon: first required at Rank III with 10 Easy clears, then 10 Medium clears at Rank IV, and 10 Hard clears from Rank V through Rank X. Rank VI also adds 5 Medium Shadow Dungeon clears.
  • Rune Dungeon: first required at Rank VI with 10 Medium clears, then 10 Hard clears at every rank from VII through X.

The reported unlock route begins with the Dungeons NPC. Collect six Ancient Puzzles from Starter, Jungle, Desert, Snow, Shibuya, and Hueco Mundo, then use the dungeon system. Each dungeon run costs one Dungeon Key, and the dungeons use wave-based runs with multiple difficulty levels.

Because Rank III onward requires repeated clears, waiting until a checklist is nearly complete can make dungeon access your main bottleneck. Unlock the system before Rank III if possible, and continue running the appropriate difficulty while working on kills and materials.

The best progression route

1. Check the temple panel before farming

Start at the Ascension NPC on Sailor Island and identify the exact incomplete objectives. This prevents unnecessary farming, especially when you already have enough kills or damage but are missing one material or dungeon tier.

2. Unlock both dungeon lines early

Collect the six Ancient Puzzles and unlock dungeons before the Rank III requirement appears. Save Dungeon Keys for the difficulties you actually need, and avoid assuming that Easy or Medium clears will replace the Hard clears required at later ranks.

3. Combine kill, damage, and ability-use counters

Choose the highest zone where you can clear enemies quickly and safely. A productive farming session should advance NPC kills, damage, and ability uses at the same time. If your build cannot clear a zone efficiently, a slightly lower zone can be better than spending long periods failing or waiting for cooldowns.

4. Farm bosses with overlapping objectives

Prioritize bosses that cover more than one material requirement:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Gojo at Shibuya Station is reported to provide both Void Fragments and Limitless Rings for Rank II.
  • Aizen at Hueco Mundo is associated with Reiatsu Cores for Rank IV and Hogyoku/Hog Fragments for Rank V.
  • The two Shinjuku Island key bosses cover the Cursed Flesh and Infinity Essence objectives for Rank VII.
  • Alucard at Sailor Island is associated with Blood Rings needed at both Rank IV and Rank VI.

5. Do not leave ability uses until the end

Ability-use requirements rise from 150 at Rank II to 2,000 at Rank X. Keep abilities active during normal farming whenever doing so is safe and efficient. Trying to finish thousands of uses after every other objective is complete can turn a nearly finished rank into a long cooldown-management session.

6. Prepare the Hogyoku quest before Rank IX

Evolution Fragments are reported to require access to Soul Dominion Island and completion of the Hogyoku quest before True Manipulator Aizen becomes the relevant target. Start this quest chain before the rest of the Rank IX checklist is finished. Otherwise, the Evolution Fragment can stop your progression even when your level, counters, and other materials are ready.

7. Build for Boss Rush before the Rank IX gate

Rank IX requires 15 Boss Rush clears on Medium difficulty or higher. This is a combat-strength check rather than a simple resource check. Begin practicing and improving your Boss Rush build before reaching 1T damage and 1,500 ability uses so the final requirement does not arrive as a surprise.

8. Treat Rank X as an endgame performance test

Rank X requires two Infinite Tower clears reaching Floor 75 or higher, as well as 7.5T damage, 1,000 boss kills, 2,000 ability uses, Hard Shadow and Rune Dungeon clears, Path Fragments, and Corrupt Crowns. The Tower objective measures sustained high-floor performance; it is not simply another material grind. Work on survival, damage consistency, and a build that can maintain performance over a long run.

What will probably become the bottleneck?

Ranks Likely focus Best preparation
I–II Leveling, basic kill counts, damage, and the first Shibuya materials Farm a zone you can clear quickly and target Gojo for both Rank II materials.
III–V Shadow Dungeon difficulty progression and increasingly large damage counters Unlock dungeons early, reserve keys, and farm Sukuna, Jinwoo, Aizen, Alucard, and the relevant dungeon source.
VI–VIII Rune Dungeon access, Hard dungeon repetition, boss counts, and island-specific materials Keep Rune and Shadow clears running while collecting Soul Flames, Cores, Cursed Flesh, and Infinity Essence.
IX Evolution Fragments and 15 Medium-or-higher Boss Rush clears Complete the Hogyoku quest early and develop a Boss Rush-ready build before the checklist is otherwise complete.
X 7.5T damage, 2,000 ability uses, Corrupt Crowns, and Floor 75+ Infinite Tower clears Plan Rank X as a build milestone. Farm counters continuously, but prioritize sustained Tower and Boss Rush performance.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Trying to skip ranks: Ascension is sequential, so later materials do not bypass earlier checklists.
  • Waiting to unlock dungeons: The repeated Shadow and Rune requirements can become the slowest part of the process.
  • Farming a material under the wrong name: Hogyoku Fragment and Hog Fragment refer to the same Rank V material in the reviewed guides; Soul Flame and Flame Soul are also alternate names.
  • Assuming every guide uses the same boss alias: Jinwoo may appear as Solar Hunter or Solo Hunter, and Gojo may appear as Limitless Sorcerer.
  • Trusting a fixed Rank X reward total: Money and cumulative summaries conflict across the reviewed sources. Check the reward panel in your current version.
  • Leaving Boss Rush and Infinite Tower until the last minute: Rank IX and Rank X include performance gates that cannot be solved by simply collecting materials.

Version note

This guide combines overlapping requirement tables from Beebom, All Things How, Pro Game Guides, and the Sailor Piece Wiki. The reviewed sources are secondary community guides rather than a directly available official patch note or developer-maintained database. Boss aliases, material sources, dungeon requirements, level gates, and rewards are therefore subject to change.

Before committing to a farming route, compare the material and reward entries with the current in-game Ascension and boss panels. Recheck this guide after major Sailor Piece updates, especially if Rank X rewards, dungeon access, or island boss drops change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you skip Ascension ranks in Sailor Piece?

No. Sailor Piece Ascension ranks must be completed in order. You cannot use a completed Rank X checklist to skip Rank I through IX.

Where is the Ascension NPC?

Go to Sailor Island, enter the temple, and speak to the Ascension NPC. The next-rank checklist appears there, and the Ascend action becomes available after every requirement is complete.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

When do Shadow Dungeon and Rune Dungeon become Ascension requirements?

Shadow Dungeon is first required at Rank III. Rune Dungeon is first required at Rank VI. Unlocking both systems early is recommended because later ranks require many repeated clears, including Hard clears.

What is the exact Rank X Ascension reward?

Rank X rewards are reported differently. Some reviewed guides list +10% Money, while the reviewed Sailor Piece Wiki table lists +15% Money. The published cumulative totals also disagree, so check the reward panel in your current game version before relying on a total.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: Unlock dungeons early, combine kill/damage/ability counters during normal farming, target bosses with overlapping drops, and prepare for the Hogyoku quest, Boss Rush, and Infinite Tower before they become the final missing objectives. Complete every checklist at the Sailor Island temple, and verify Rank X rewards in-game because the available tables disagree.
