Samsung did offer a $25 Xbox eGift Card through its Summer of Galaxy 2023 promotion. It was advertised for Thursday, July 13, 2023, while supplies lasted. As of August 18, 2026, Samsung presents the reward only as part of an old promotion recap, not as a live offer. Treat current posts promising the same card as recycled coverage unless they link to a newly published Samsung promotion.
What the Samsung Xbox gift-card offer was
Samsung’s official announcement listed a $25 Xbox eGift Card among the rewards in its U.S. Summer of Galaxy 2023 campaign. Samsung described the credit as usable toward Xbox Game Pass, games, apps, or gaming accessories. The reward was tied to a specific promotional day and was available while supplies lasted.
Samsung’s Summer of Galaxy recap independently confirms that the 2023 rewards included a $25 Xbox eGift Card.

Who was eligible?
This was not an automatic gift for every Samsung customer. Samsung referred to eligible Galaxy smartphones with Samsung Wallet, and the promotion was U.S.-focused. Eligibility also depended on availability, the applicable Samsung terms, and acceptance of the partner’s conditions.

- The offer had to be claimed during the designated window and before inventory ran out.
- Geographic and account restrictions could apply.
The available official pages do not provide a definitive, model-by-model Xbox eligibility list or every original age, residency, account, and redemption-deadline rule. Do not assume that an older or imported Galaxy model qualified simply because it runs Android or can install an app.
How redemption worked in 2023
Samsung’s announcement described this historical flow. Menu labels may have changed since 2023, so do not expect a current Wallet installation to recreate the offer.
- Open the Summer of Galaxy homepage on a mobile device, or scan the promotion’s QR code.
- Open Samsung Wallet or register for the service on an eligible Galaxy device.
- Find the day’s partner reward in the Wallet Promotions list. Samsung’s recap also refers to the Wallet app’s Perks tab.
- Select the Xbox offer.
- Review and accept the partner terms.
- Follow Samsung’s instructions to receive the Xbox eGift Card.
The offer was delivered through Samsung’s promotional interface, not as a universally posted code. Samsung Wallet remains an active service—see its current overview—but installing it in 2026 does not reactivate a 2023 reward.

What the $25 Xbox card could buy
The reward was account credit, not a guaranteed free Xbox Game Pass subscription. Samsung said it could be applied toward:

A $25 balance might cover only part of a purchase. Microsoft’s gift-card terms say redeemed value is subject to participating-store, regional, exclusion, and promotional-balance rules.
Is Samsung still offering it?
No—not according to Samsung’s current promotional pages. The gaming page labels the material as a Summer 2023 recap and says “Summer of Galaxy will return.” That wording indicates the old Xbox card is archived rather than claimable. As of August 18, 2026, there is no evidence on Samsung’s current pages of a live $25 Xbox offer matching the 2023 promotion.

Posts that omit the July 13, 2023 date may be republished deal articles, not new announcements. Samsung could launch a future Summer of Galaxy campaign, but that would be a separate promotion with its own terms.
If you already have an Xbox code
An unredeemed code from the 2023 event may have had a separate promotional deadline; the available pages do not establish whether every such code remains valid. You can test a code without using a third-party claim site:
- Go to Microsoft’s official code-redemption page.
- Sign in to the Microsoft account that should receive the balance.
- Enter the 25-character code and confirm the redemption.
Microsoft ties gift-card currency to the account’s registered jurisdiction and participating Microsoft stores. Never publish the code, pay someone to activate it, or enter it into a page that requests a shipping fee or payment-card details.

Do not confuse this with Samsung TV promotions
Samsung has run separate TV campaigns involving Xbox credit or Game Pass. Its promotions archive and the 2023 Your Choice offer show that some TV rewards required purchasing and activating a qualifying television. Those programs are different from the no-purchase Summer of Galaxy mobile reward and cannot be used to prove that the phone offer is active.
How to spot a fake “free Xbox gift card” claim
- Verify the announcement on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, or inside Samsung Wallet’s own Promotions or Perks area.
- Use only Microsoft’s official redemption page for an actual code.
- Reject pages demanding a Samsung or Microsoft password, one-time security code, credit-card number, shipping payment, surveys, or unknown app downloads.
- Be suspicious of shortened, unrelated, or misspelled URLs.
- Remember that not every Galaxy owner qualified, and a gift card is not the same thing as free Game Pass.
The Bottom Line
The headline was based on a genuine Samsung promotion, but the $25 Xbox eGift Card was a limited Summer of Galaxy reward advertised for July 13, 2023. It should be treated as expired in 2026; verify any replacement offer through Samsung’s official channels and redeem existing codes only through Microsoft.
