Schedule I has a built-in developer console on the PC/Steam version, so you do not need Cheat Engine or a third-party mod for ordinary cheats. Load the save you want to modify, go to Esc → Settings → Game → Console, enable it, then press the key normally located immediately to the left of 1—usually ~ or `—to open the command line.
This guide covers the PC/Steam Early Access build, with the latest official stable version checked being v0.4.6f12, announced on August 7, 2026. Console commands are save-specific, command lists change as the game updates, and quest, property, inventory, and debug commands can damage progression. Back up your save before experimenting.
Version and platform coverage
This is a PC-focused guide for Schedule I on Steam. The console documentation discussed here applies to the PC Early Access game; there is no reliable evidence that the same developer console is available on PlayStation or Xbox.

- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
As of the August 10, 2026 version check, the latest official stable announcement found is v0.4.6f12, posted August 7, 2026. Schedule I remains in Early Access, so an older page claiming to list “all” commands may be missing commands from later patches. The beta branch can also expose commands before they reach stable.
The in-game command panel—available from the console setting and generally labeled View Commands—is the live authority for the build installed on your PC. Official patch notes confirm additions but do not publish a complete, permanent command catalogue.
Before using Schedule 1 cheats
- Use a duplicate save. Money and item cheats are relatively easy to reverse; quest-state, NPC, property, and debug changes may not be.
- Save before testing, not immediately after. If a command visibly breaks a quest or world state, close or reload without overwriting the backup.
- Use a separate achievement save. Community references report that enabling the console does not automatically disable Steam achievements, but XP, product-discovery, region, and progression commands can cause achievements to unlock unexpectedly. This is reported community behavior, not a published TVGS achievement policy.
- Expect host-only multiplayer access. Community testing indicates that the host, rather than a guest, can use the built-in console. Host commands can affect the shared world and host save.
- Do not stack progression commands. Combining
setunlocked, setqueststate, setquestentrystate, andaddxpcan skip triggers, calls, or prerequisites. - Prefer vanilla commands over external tools. Cheat Engine tables and mods are version-sensitive and carry additional installation, save, and online-play risks.
How to enable and open the console
- Start or load the save you want to modify.
- Press Esc.
- Choose Settings.
- Open the Game tab.
- Turn on Console.
- Return to gameplay.
- Press the key normally found immediately left of 1 and below Esc.
The setting is tied to the loaded save rather than being a universal global switch. Enable it again when you move to another save. The settings menu has changed during development, so the exact screen layout can differ between builds. The Schedule I Wiki console page, GameSpot’s setup guide, and PC Gamer’s command guide document the same basic process.
If the tilde key does nothing
- Press the physical key left of 1, not necessarily the key that produces a tilde on your current keyboard layout. On UK and other layouts it may display
`,¬, or another symbol. - Confirm that you enabled the console while the save was actually loaded, rather than only from the title screen.
- Open the console setting or command panel and check that the feature is visibly active.
- Use a physical keyboard even if you are playing with a controller. Gamepad support does not remove the need for a keyboard key to open the command line.
- In multiplayer, make sure you are the host.
A third-party key-rebinding mod such as ChangeConsoleBind is an optional modded workaround, but it requires MelonLoader and can break after game updates. It is not the normal solution for a vanilla installation.

How to use commands correctly
Commands are generally lowercase and use spaces between the command and its arguments. Type the command exactly as shown, then press Enter. If a command takes an ID, use the internal ID rather than the display name. If it targets an equipped item, equip that item before running the command.
Schedule I’s v0.4.3 update added command-history navigation with the arrow keys. This is useful when testing several variations of the same command. For exact syntax, compare the examples below with the View Commands panel in your installed build.
Schedule I console command reference
The tables below collect the strongest publicly documented commands. They are not a promise that every command exists in every branch. Commands can be added, renamed, removed, or have their arguments changed during Early Access.
Money, XP, health, and player statistics
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Qualification/source |
|---|---|---|---|
changecash |
changecash 10000 |
Adjusts the cash carried by the player. | Public references disagree on whether the number is an adjustment or a final balance. Current community references generally treat it as an amount to add or subtract. Check your cash afterward. See the PC Gamer guide and GamesOMG reference. |
changebalance |
changebalance 10000 |
Adjusts the online or bank balance. | It is separate from cash on hand and has the same add-versus-set ambiguity. A negative amount is reported to subtract in current community references. |
addxp |
addxp 200 |
Adds player XP. | May advance progression or unlock achievements unexpectedly. |
sethealth |
sethealth 200 |
Sets the player’s health value. | Use a sensible number on a test save. |
setstaminareserve |
setstaminareserve 150 |
Sets the stamina reserve. | Public references list 100 as the default. |
setmovespeed |
setmovespeed 2 |
Changes the movement-speed multiplier. | Restore normal movement with setmovespeed 1. |
setjumpforce |
setjumpforce 2 |
Changes the jump-force multiplier. | Restore with setjumpforce 1. |
setgravitymultiplier |
setgravitymultiplier 1.5 |
Changes the gravity multiplier. | Included in later public lists but omitted by some older references; verify it in-game. |
setemotion |
setemotion cheery |
Changes the avatar’s facial expression. | Public documentation does not comprehensively list accepted emotion names. |
Money commands: add versus set
Do not assume that changecash 10000 leaves you with exactly $10,000. Some sources describe the command as changing the balance to a specified value, while newer community references describe it as adding the specified amount, with negative numbers subtracting. The safest current wording is adjusts. Run a small test, inspect the balance, and only then use a larger amount.

Inventory, products, quality, and production
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Qualification/source |
|---|---|---|---|
give |
give ogkush 5 |
Gives an item using its internal item ID. Quantity is commonly optional. | The ID must match the game’s internal lowercase identifier, not necessarily the displayed name. Check View Commands and the community item database. |
clearinventory |
clearinventory |
Removes the player’s inventory. | Destructive. Never test it on the only copy of a save. |
cleartrash |
cleartrash |
Removes litter from the world. | Acts as a world-level cleanup rather than a single-item action. |
growplants |
growplants |
Fully grows plants in the game world. | Affects all plants, not only a selected pot. |
setquality |
setquality 4 |
Sets the quality of the currently equipped product or item. | Current references list 0–4 as Trash, Poor, Standard, Premium, and Heavenly. Older references also show words such as standard and heavenly; use the current in-game example if numeric input fails. |
packageproduct |
packageproduct jar |
Packages the equipped product in a container. | Publicly listed container values include baggie, jar, and brick. The product must be equipped. |
setdiscovered |
setdiscovered ogkush |
Marks a product as discovered. | Use the internal product ID. This can affect progression and achievement timing. |
setquantity |
Argument not reliably documented | Newer command associated with quantity manipulation. | Its existence was confirmed in the v0.4.3 patch notes, but public sources do not establish exactly which object or equipped item it modifies. Do not guess its arguments. |
setvar |
setvar [variable] [value] |
Changes an internal game variable. | Advanced/debug use only. Do not invent variable names or values. |
Wanted level and law enforcement
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Qualification/source |
|---|---|---|---|
raisewanted |
raisewanted |
Raises the wanted level. | No argument is shown consistently in public references. |
lowerwanted |
lowerwanted |
Lowers the wanted level. | No argument is shown consistently. |
clearwanted |
clearwanted |
Clears the wanted level. | May not undo every law-enforcement or world-state consequence created by another command. |
setlawintensity |
setlawintensity 2 |
Sets law-enforcement intensity. | Public references describe a 0–10 scale. setlawintensity 0 should not be treated as a guaranteed permanent “no cops” mode; player reports indicate inconsistent results. |
setpoliceignoreplayers |
Argument not reliably documented | Adds a setting related to whether police ignore players. | Added in v0.4.3, but the current public documentation does not verify the exact argument syntax or behavior. Use only the in-game command panel. |
Teleportation, regions, properties, NPCs, and employees
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Qualification/source |
|---|---|---|---|
teleport |
teleport townhall |
Teleports the player to a named location, NPC, or property. | IDs vary by build. If nothing happens, check the exact current ID in the command panel or maintained community reference. |
setregionunlocked |
setregionunlocked westville |
Unlocks a named region. | Public examples include Northtown, Westville, Downtown, Docks, Suburbia, and Uptown. It reportedly does not unlock the sewers. |
setowned |
setowned carwash |
Marks a property or business as owned. | It may not initialize every furnishing, prerequisite, or progression state associated with normal ownership. |
setunlocked |
setunlocked molly_presley |
Unlocks an NPC or contact. | Use the internal firstname_lastname ID. Unlocking a contact early can skip story triggers. |
setrelationship |
setrelationship molly_presley 3 |
Sets an NPC relationship level. | Public references list a 0–5 range. A prominent guide incorrectly uses setunlocked molly_presley 3 as its example; the correct command for relationship level is setrelationship. |
addemployee |
addemployee chemist bungalow |
Adds an employee type to a property. | Both the employee type and property ID must be valid in the installed build. |
spawnvehicle |
spawnvehicle shitbox |
Spawns a vehicle near the player. | Not included in every public list. Verify it in View Commands before relying on it. |
The sewer exception
setregionunlocked reportedly does not open the sewer route. The commonly documented workaround is:
give sewerkey
This is a specific workaround, not proof that every locked location can be bypassed by giving a similarly named key.

Quests, progression, and cutscenes
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Risk and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
setqueststate |
setqueststate gearing_up 2 |
Sets a quest’s state. | Community quest documentation describes 0 as incomplete, 1 as active, and 2 as complete. Skipping a quest can leave calls, entries, vendors, or later triggers out of sync. |
setquestentrystate |
setquestentrystate [quest] [entry] [state] |
Changes an individual quest entry or task state. | Entry indexes may start at 0. Use only with the exact quest ID and a backup. |
playcutscene |
playcutscene Tutorial end |
Plays a named cutscene. | Scene names and arguments are poorly documented and may change. |
endtutorial |
endtutorial |
Ends the tutorial. | Intended for a player who is actually in the tutorial. |
setunlocked |
setunlocked [npc_id] |
Unlocks an NPC or contact. | Do not use it as a substitute for repairing a broken quest unless you know the required prerequisite state. |
How to repair a stuck quest safely
- Make a copy of the save before changing anything.
- Identify the exact internal quest code, rather than guessing from the quest’s display title.
- Prefer changing one broken quest entry with
setquestentrystateinstead of completing an entire quest withsetqueststate. - Reload the save or sleep if the next call or trigger does not appear.
- Do not combine quest completion, NPC unlocking, XP, and relationship commands at the same time.
The community quest documentation describes a particular Welcome_to_Hyland_Point recovery sequence using setquestentrystate. Treat that as a workaround for that specific quest and build, not as a universal repair recipe. Community Steam discussions also report progression failures after NPCs were unlocked early or story states were forced: discussion one and discussion two.
Time, sleep, and weather
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Qualification/source |
|---|---|---|---|
settime |
settime 1530 |
Sets the in-game clock using 24-hour time. | 0000 is midnight and 1200 is noon. |
settimescale |
settimescale 1.5 |
Changes how quickly in-game time passes. | Restore the usual rate with settimescale 1. |
setdayduration |
setdayduration 48 |
Changes the real-time length of an in-game day. | Added in v0.4.3. Community testing describes 24 as the default and 48 as approximately twice as long. It changes day length; it is not the same as directly growing crops. |
forcesleep |
forcesleep |
Forces players to sleep. | Use cautiously in multiplayer or while jobs and other systems are active. |
setweather |
setweather clear |
Sets the weather. | Publicly listed values are clear, overcast, foggy, lightrain, heavyrain, and lightning. These commands came with the v0.4.4 weather update. |
setweatherspeed |
setweatherspeed 2 |
Changes the speed of weather-volume movement. | Public references list 1 as the default. |
triggerlightning |
triggerlightning cranky_frank |
Triggers lightning on a named NPC or player, or on a random target if no target is supplied. | Use with caution; target IDs and behavior may vary. |
triggerdistantthunder |
triggerdistantthunder |
Triggers distant thunder. | Added with the weather system. |
UI, camera, saves, and key bindings
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Risk and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
save |
save |
Forces a save. | Use before controlled experiments, but do not save after a command that visibly breaks progression. |
freecam |
freecam |
Toggles the free camera. | Useful for screenshots and exploration. |
hideui |
hideui |
Hides the on-screen interface. | Run it again if it behaves as a toggle; otherwise reload without saving. |
showfps |
showfps |
Shows the frame-rate counter. | Display-only command. |
hidefps |
hidefps |
Hides the frame-rate counter. | Display-only command. |
bind |
bind t 'settime 1200' |
Binds a key to a command. | Put commands containing spaces inside quotes. Test binds on a duplicate save. |
unbind |
unbind t |
Removes a key binding. | Use the same key identifier used with bind. |
clearbinds |
clearbinds |
Removes all custom command binds. | Destructive to every custom binding. |
quit |
quit |
Quits the game. | Added in v0.4.6. Do not assume it saves first; save explicitly when appropriate. |
Advanced and debug commands
| Command | Syntax/example | What it does | Risk and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
disable |
disable [object] |
Disables a named GameObject. | Object names are fragile and build-dependent. Avoid on a main save. |
enable |
enable [object] |
Re-enables a named GameObject. | Requires the correct internal object identifier. |
disablenpcasset |
disablenpcasset [asset] |
Disables an asset under NPCs. | Advanced debugging command; public documentation does not provide a dependable universal asset list. |
destroynpcs |
destroynpcs |
Destroys NPCs in the current scene. | Highly destructive. It can disrupt schedules, deals, quest triggers, and world simulation. Reload without saving if you use it accidentally. |
setvar |
setvar [variable] [value] |
Changes an internal variable. | Do not use without knowing the exact variable and expected value for the installed build. |
Useful command recipes
Add cash and bank money
changecash 10000
changebalance 10000
changecash and changebalance affect different balances. Because public sources disagree about whether their argument is an absolute value or an adjustment, run one command, inspect the balance, and only then repeat it. If the installed build treats the value as an adjustment, a negative number can subtract money.

give ogkush 5
Replace ogkush with the internal ID you need. Display names, spaces, capitalization, and punctuation may not work. If the command is accepted but no item appears, check the ID and inventory capacity, then try a harmless known ID from the in-game list.
Fast-travel hotkeys
bind t 'teleport barn'
bind h 'teleport motelroom'
Remove those binds with:
unbind t
unbind h
Remove every custom command binding with:
clearbinds
Location IDs are community-documented and can change. If a bind stops working after an update, check the current teleport syntax rather than installing a rebinding mod.
Control the clock and day length
settime 1200
settimescale 1
setdayduration 48
settimemoves the current clock to a particular time.settimescalechanges the speed of time passing.setdaydurationchanges the real-time duration of the whole in-game day.
Use growplants instead if the goal is immediate plant growth. Changing the clock or day length is not a reliable substitute for completing plant growth.
Grow and package products
growplants
That command grows every plant in the world. To package an equipped product:
packageproduct jar
packageproduct acts on the currently equipped product, not an arbitrary product elsewhere in the inventory.
Remove wanted status
clearwanted
For law-enforcement testing, public references also list:
raisewanted
lowerwanted
setlawintensity 0
Do not promise that setting law intensity to zero makes the entire game permanently police-free. Reports suggest that behavior can be inconsistent, and official notes do not document every interaction between law intensity, wanted status, and police behavior.
Unlock regions, properties, and the sewer
setregionunlocked westville
setowned carwash
give sewerkey
Use the region and property commands carefully: unlocking or owning something by command may not initialize all normal progression data. The sewer is the notable exception to the region command and is commonly accessed by giving the sewer key.

Set an NPC relationship
setrelationship molly_presley 3
The second argument is the relationship level in the commonly documented 0–5 range. Do not confuse this with:
setunlocked molly_presley
That command unlocks the NPC; it does not set the relationship level. Unlocking contacts before their intended story trigger can cause later progression problems.
Weather and screenshot testing
setweather clear
setweatherspeed 1
triggerdistantthunder
freecam
hideui
The weather commands were introduced with the v0.4.4 weather update. They are useful for testing atmosphere and screenshots, while freecam and hideui help produce clean images. Reload if the UI does not return after using hideui.
Finding item, NPC, property, and location IDs
Use internal IDs, not display names
Console arguments usually use lowercase internal identifiers. For example, the product ID may be ogkush, not “OG Kush,” and an NPC may use a form such as molly_presley.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

For representative community-documented IDs, the Schedule I Wiki console reference lists products such as:

It also lists weapon examples including:

Do not casually use cabin: the community reference identifies it as an instant-death location. IDs are not an official TVGS API, and the community item database explicitly is not affiliated with TVGS. Treat online lists as references, not guarantees.
Newer commands and why old lists are incomplete
Several commonly copied command lists predate important updates:
- v0.4.3: added
setdayduration, setpoliceignoreplayers, andsetquantity, along with arrow-key command history. - v0.4.4: added the weather system and publicly documented
setweather,setweatherspeed,triggerlightning, andtriggerdistantthunder. - v0.4.6: added the built-in
quitcommand, according to the official announcement.
PC Gamer’s command page was last updated March 16, 2026, while the latest stable announcement checked here is from August 7, 2026. It remains useful, but it should not be called complete for the current build. Public command totals are also unreliable: one reference claims around 30 commands while broader lists include substantially more UI, quest, weather, property, and debug commands.
For the authoritative update trail, check the official Schedule I Steam news archive and official announcements, then compare with the in-game command panel.

Save backups and recovery
Back up a save before cheating
- Close Schedule I so the save is not being written while you copy it.
- Open File Explorer and paste this path into the address bar:
%USERPROFILE%AppDataLocalLowTVGSSchedule ISaves
- Copy the relevant save folder to another location, such as a separate backup folder or external drive.
- Keep one untouched copy and perform experiments on a duplicate.
- Use the console’s
savecommand only after checking that the result is correct.
The exact subfolder structure can vary by save and build. The path above is the commonly documented Windows location and is also identified in the dedicated-server documentation.
If a command breaks the save
- Do not save again if the problem is visible.
- Reload the last known-good save or restore the untouched backup.
- If you already saved, close the game and replace the damaged save folder with the backup copy.
- Do not try to repair a broken quest by randomly forcing more NPCs, XP, properties, and quest states.
Editing money files is not a console command
Some guides describe closing the game, opening a save folder, and editing Money.json, including fields such as OnlineBalance and Networth. That is save editing, not a built-in console cheat. It carries risks that the command line avoids: malformed JSON, inconsistent values, incompatible fields, and save corruption. Make a complete backup first, and do not treat claims that there is “no penalty” as an established guarantee.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Cheat Engine and mods
Cheat Engine tables and Schedule I mods can expose functions that the built-in console does not, but they are third-party tools and are especially vulnerable to game updates. The built-in console should be the default for PC players who only need money, items, teleportation, time, plant, or convenience commands.
Use external tools only after understanding the risks. Third-party installers may bundle additional software, and using Cheat Engine in online or multiplayer contexts can create anti-cheat, account, or ban concerns. Keep any testing offline, use a disposable save, and do not assume a table made for one Early Access build works on another. A mod that changes the console key may also require MelonLoader and stop working after an update.
Troubleshooting
“Unknown command”
Common causes include:
- The command belongs to a newer beta or stable build than the one you are running.
- The name was copied incorrectly.
- The source list is outdated or contains a typo.
- The command is from a mod rather than vanilla Schedule I.
- An argument is missing or an ID is invalid.
- An advanced/debug command was changed or removed.
Open View Commands, copy the exact command name, and test it with a harmless value. Check the latest official patch notes. Do not install a mod merely to force one disputed command to work.
“The command runs, but nothing happens”
- Check whether the command acts on the equipped product or item.
- Confirm that you are the multiplayer host.
- Check the spelling and format of the NPC, property, region, or location ID.
- Reload, sleep, or advance the game if the command changes a hidden state that needs a trigger.
- Remember that some commands affect the host or shared world rather than a guest’s character.
- For
disable, enable, ordisablenpcasset, confirm the exact internal object or asset identifier.
“I unlocked an NPC and broke the story”
Restore the backup if possible. Do not immediately add XP, complete the quest, set a relationship, and unlock more NPCs. Community reports specifically describe progression problems after contacts were unlocked early or story states were forced. Identify the missing quest entry and repair the smallest possible state, preferably on a duplicate save.
“The UI disappeared”
Run:
hideui
again if it acts as a toggle in your build. If the interface does not return, reload the save. Avoid saving while the UI or another part of the world is visibly broken.
“I changed the time and production behaved strangely”
The time commands do different jobs:
settimechanges the current clock position.settimescalechanges the rate at which the clock advances.setdaydurationchanges the real-time duration of an entire in-game day.growplantsdirectly completes plant growth and is the appropriate command for immediate harvest.
“I used destroynpcs”
Reload without saving if possible. Treat destroynpcs as a debug tool, not a normal cheat: removing NPCs can disrupt schedules, deals, and quest triggers.
Multiplayer limitations
Available community testing indicates that only the host can use Schedule I’s built-in console in multiplayer. This is practical community evidence rather than a formal developer rule. Guests should not expect commands such as give, sethealth, or movement changes to modify their own character.
Because commands can change the shared world or host save, the safest approach is to run them before inviting other players or after making a backup. Public sources also warn of possible co-op desynchronization after commands are used; treat that as a reported risk, not a guaranteed outcome documented comprehensively by TVGS.

Do console cheats disable achievements?
Community-maintained references and major guides report that simply enabling the console does not automatically disable Steam achievement progress. However, commands can make achievements unlock at unexpected times—for example, by granting XP, discovering products, unlocking regions, or advancing progression.
If you want a clean achievement run, use an untouched save and reserve console testing for a separate copy.
Frequently Asked Questions
What key opens the Schedule I console on a UK or non-US keyboard?
Press the physical key immediately to the left of the number 1 key, normally below Esc. Depending on the keyboard layout, it may display `, ~, ¬, or another symbol. The character produced by the key is less important than its physical position.
Can guests use Schedule I console commands in multiplayer?
Community testing indicates that the host is the player who can use the built-in console. Guests should not expect commands to change their own character, and host commands may affect the shared world and host save.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Does setregionunlocked open the sewers?
Apparently not. The commonly documented workaround is give sewerkey. Use the in-game command list to confirm the syntax for your build.
Why does give not work?
The command normally requires an internal lowercase item ID, such as ogkush, rather than the item’s displayed name. Check the View Commands panel or a maintained community ID reference, and confirm the item is available in your installed build.
How do I undo a bad console command?
There is no universal undo command. If you have not saved, reload or close the game. Otherwise restore the backup copy of the save. This is especially important after quest, property, inventory, NPC, and debug commands.
Are Schedule I console commands available on consoles?
This guide covers PC/Steam. Reliable public documentation confirming the same developer console on PlayStation or Xbox was not found.
Why does a command work in one Schedule I version but not another?
Schedule I is still in Early Access, and commands have been added and changed across stable and beta builds. Compare the command with the installed build’s View Commands panel and the latest official Steam announcements.
The Bottom Line
For PC players, the safest way to use Schedule 1 cheats is the built-in console: enable it from Esc → Settings → Game → Console, press the physical key left of 1, and verify every command in the in-game list. Start with reversible quality-of-life commands such as teleport, settime, growplants, and clearwanted. Back up first, use internal IDs, and treat quest, property, multiplayer, save-editing, and debug commands as potentially destructive.
