Shenzhou announced an additional ZhanShen T8 Plus gaming-laptop configuration on August 2, 2024, pairing an Intel Core i7-13700HX with an RTX 4060 Laptop GPU and a 16-inch-class 2560×1600, 240Hz display. The configuration was scheduled to go on sale in China on August 6, 2024, at an introductory price of 6,999 yuan. This was a new configuration for the existing T8 Plus range, not a confirmed chassis redesign or a 2026 launch.
What Shenzhou announced
The new configuration combined a 16-core, 24-thread Core i7-13700HX with 16GB of DDR5-4800 memory, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and an RTX 4060 Laptop GPU reported at 140W. The T8 Plus range already had other configurations; this announcement added a particular processor, graphics, memory and storage combination rather than establishing a wholly new laptop generation. ITHome’s announcement report gives the configuration details, while a comparison-style report discusses it in the context of earlier T8 Plus versions.
Reported specifications
The figures below are launch-report specifications, not independent measurements. In particular, the GPU power, display brightness, contrast and color coverage should be treated as reported claims.

What the hardware means for gaming
RTX 4060 and 2560×1600
The reported 140W rating matters because laptop RTX 4060 implementations can differ in configured power and cooling. It does not, by itself, establish a particular frame rate: this launch coverage does not provide independent benchmarks for this T8 Plus. At the panel’s native 2560×1600 resolution, demanding games may call for reduced graphics settings, upscaling or other performance compromises, especially with ray tracing enabled. The laptop’s actual sustained performance will also depend on its power limits, firmware, cooling and operating mode.

What 240Hz does—and does not—promise
A 240Hz panel can refresh up to 240 times per second, but that is a display capability, not a promise that games will render at 240 frames per second. Competitive games may be better positioned to take advantage of the refresh rate; graphically intensive games can run well below it. The reports do not establish response-time measurements, adaptive-sync support, HDR certification or whether 240Hz is available in every operating mode.
The processor and memory
The i7-13700HX’s 16 cores and 24 threads make it a high-core-count mobile processor for games and multithreaded work such as rendering or compiling. Its sustained performance cannot be inferred from the processor name alone. The listed 16GB of RAM was a usable 2024 starting configuration, but heavier games, browser tabs, streaming software and creative workloads can benefit from more memory. The available reports do not establish whether the RAM is upgradeable or how many slots are accessible.

Display, ports and cooling details
The 2560×1600 resolution gives the panel a 16:10 shape, with more vertical space than a typical 16:9 display. The stated 500 nits, 1200:1 contrast and 100% sRGB coverage are reported specifications rather than independently verified results; factory calibration, measured color accuracy, panel response and PWM behavior are not established.

Launch coverage lists these ports:
- Left side: one USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port.
- Right side: one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port and two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports.
- Rear: one RJ45 Ethernet port, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port and one HDMI port.
The reports do not confirm whether either USB-C port supports USB4, Thunderbolt, DisplayPort video output or USB Power Delivery. Those functions cannot be assumed from the connector type or USB generation. The dual-fan, five-heat-pipe arrangement is likewise a design specification, not proof of low temperatures or quiet operation; thermals, fan noise and sustained clock speeds require hands-on testing.

China launch timing and price
Shenzhou announced this configuration on August 2, 2024. It was reported as available for reservation through JD.com ahead of a planned China sale beginning at midnight on August 6, at an introductory price of 6,999 yuan. ITHome’s sale-day follow-up covered the first-sale pricing and specifications. The 6,999-yuan figure is a historical China launch price, not a current price or a verified U.S. equivalent. Later promotional coverage reported campaign-specific pricing, but does not establish today’s value or availability. (ZOL’s September 2024 promotion report.)
Who the configuration suited—and what remains to check
On paper, the combination targeted buyers seeking an HX-series processor, a comparatively high-power RTX 4060 configuration and a high-refresh 16:10 screen. It could suit competitive gaming, general gaming and CPU-heavy work, but the reports do not establish professional color-work credentials or measured creator performance. There is also no independent evidence here for battery life, weight, temperatures, noise or exact game performance.

For a buyer outside China, the launch reports do not verify a current official international listing, local warranty, active inventory or support arrangements. Before importing, confirm the exact SKU and seller, shipping and import costs, keyboard layout, power adapter, firmware language, return terms, repair support and replacement-part access. These are checks to make, not established defects of this particular unit.

How to judge it as a purchase today
This is a 2024 configuration based on older CPU and GPU generations, not a newly launched 2026 system. The historical launch price alone cannot show whether it is a good current buy. Compare any live offer with newer gaming laptops on price, independent benchmarks at comparable resolutions, warranty coverage and upgrade options; none of those current-market comparisons is established by the 2024 announcement reports. Shenzhou’s official site is a starting point for checking current manufacturer information, but a specific active listing for this configuration has not been verified.
