Help Arnora trick Jorundr if you want the extra fight and Tyrellius’s loot; kill Arnora if you want the shorter route. Both choices lead to the stolen treasure. The key difference is that helping Arnora brings a fight with Tyrellius at the treasure site, while killing her avoids it. On the kill-Arnora route, don’t rely on the amulet she carries: the true amulet is in her locked bedroom chest.
What changes between the two choices?
The decision is part of Bruma’s side quest, “Two Sides of the Coin.” Jorundr is in Bruma jail, and you must get arrested before he will tell you where the treasure is. He claims Arnora killed a guard and offers the location if you kill her. Their conflicting accounts do not establish a clear moral verdict, so choose based on the route and loot you want.

How to kill Arnora and get the real amulet
- Kill Arnora and take the amulet from her body, along with her keys.
- Use the keys to open the locked chest in her bedroom and take the true amulet. The one on Arnora’s body is a forgery.
- Show both amulets to Jorundr in the jail. He reveals where the treasure is.
- Go to the location and collect the stolen goods.
How to help Arnora trick Jorundr
- Tell Arnora what Jorundr said.
- Take the key she gives you and retrieve the true amulet from her locked bedroom chest.
- Present the true amulet to Jorundr to get the treasure location.
- Go to the treasure site and be ready for Tyrellius to attack. Defeating him gives you access to his guard armor and silver longsword.
Which route should you choose?
- Choose Arnora’s route if you want the extra combat encounter and Tyrellius’s equipment.
- Choose the kill-Arnora route if you prefer to finish with fewer steps and avoid that fight.
- Either route works if your priority is the stolen treasure. The guides report the same core treasure reward either way; Game8 describes a random assortment that includes two skill books.
The Elder Scrolls Fandom quest reference also lists +1 Fame for completing the quest. That is an original-game reference, not a Remastered-specific guarantee.
