What was the Version 1.5 banner schedule?
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 went live on January 22, 2025 (UTC+8), according to the official Version 1.5 special-program description. HoYoverse’s January 21, 2025 notice says Astra Yao’s limited S-Rank channel began after the version launched and ended February 12, 2025, at 11:59:59 server time. That notice also says the guarantee count carries across Exclusive Channels and is separate from other channel types.
A community-posted Version 1.5 phase recap places Astra Yao and Ellen in Phase 1, followed by Evelyn and Qingyi in Phase 2. The official notice cited above confirms Astra’s dates; the available official source does not independently confirm Evelyn’s phase dates. These are past banners, not currently available pull advice.

The roles are the clearest basis for choosing. If you already have the damage dealers you want but need support, Astra is the more natural fit. If you want a Fire attacker, Evelyn is the direct role match. Those are roster-fit judgments, not claims that either character is categorically stronger.

Astra Yao’s support-oriented equipment
HoYoWiki lists Astra’s signature W-Engine, Elegant Vanity, as a Support W-Engine released in Version 1.5. Its listed effect grants energy when squad members enter through specified assist or attack actions, then boosts squad damage after the wearer consumes enough energy. This is useful context for her support design, but it does not show that the engine is required to use her effectively or worth spending pulls on.
