Your gear’s appearance is separate from the item
Portkey Games Support says gear appearance can be changed from the Gear screen. Game8 reports that obtaining an item unlocks its appearance, which remains available after the physical item is sold or discarded. That means you can use the gear with the stats and traits you want while choosing a different unlocked look.

Keep items or sell them: a practical decision
- Sell it if you have checked its stats and traits and do not expect to use it. This clears limited gear inventory space and earns currency.
- Keep it if it is a useful situational alternative or you are not ready to give up that equipment option.
- Expand capacity if you would rather defer selling: Game8 says Merlin Trial rewards can increase gear inventory space.
