RPCS3 can now run all six Ratchet & Clank games released for PS3 without crashes, according to a report by Notebookcheck describing an announcement from the emulator’s developers. That is a crash-related compatibility improvement—not a promise of smooth performance: the report says the games still do not meet RPCS3’s “Playable” standard.
What changed in RPCS3?
Notebookcheck attributes the improvement to more accurate RSX FIFO GET handling, crediting RPCS3 lead developer elad335. The report says the change removes crashes for the six named PS3 games. It does not publish game-by-game performance results, tested PC configurations, or frame rates, so the announcement should not be read as evidence that each game runs well on every computer.

Which Ratchet & Clank games are covered?
The report identifies these six PS3 releases:
- Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (2007)
- Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty (2008)
- Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (2009)
- Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (2011)
- Ratchet & Clank: QForce (2012)
- Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus (2013)
The claim applies to these PS3 titles as described in the report. It does not establish compatibility for other Ratchet & Clank games, versions, platforms, or individual PCs.
Why “without crashes” does not mean “Playable”
RPCS3’s compatibility categories distinguish whether a game avoids major failures from whether it performs well enough to be considered fully playable. Notebookcheck says the six games still fall short of the “Playable” classification because performance is insufficient. It describes that standard as requiring performance to match PS3 levels on RPCS3’s recommended specifications.

Notebookcheck says RPCS3 can read PS3 discs with a compatible Blu-ray disc drive. The report does not identify a supported drive model or provide a compatibility list, so check drive compatibility rather than assuming any Blu-ray drive will work. Physical PS3 copies of the games are one relevant setup route; use games you legally own.
