A fan has demonstrated a Skyrim mod designed to bring Elden Ring-style player combat to Bethesda’s RPG. The project is described as playable, but its release, supported Skyrim edition and installation requirements have not been confirmed in the available report.

What the Skyrim mod changes

The demonstration centers on bringing Elden Ring-inspired player movement and combat into Skyrim. GamesRadar+ reports that GitHub user Funny-Bones created an underlying Rust implementation of Elden Ring’s player movement and combat, which an unnamed Skyrim modder adapted for the game. The report does not identify the Skyrim adapter, so the two contributions should not be conflated.

An X post quoted by GamesRadar+ describes the approach as: “This isn’t a passthrough or any fancy tricks.” The post also says, “Someone straight up remade Elden Ring’s player controller in Rust and can now be added to any game!” Those are the poster’s claims, not independent technical verification. GamesRadar+ characterizes the project as a player-created implementation rather than an AI-generated crossover demonstration, but does not provide further technical detail. Is the mod available to download?

Not according to the report. The X poster called the mod “fully playable” and said it would be uploaded “soon,” but GamesRadar+ supplied no download link or release date. “Fully playable” is the poster’s description, not a reported hands-on test, so availability remains unconfirmed.

What is known about compatibility and installation?

The report does not say which Skyrim edition or platform the adaptation supports. It also provides no dependencies, installation steps or confirmed release page. Without those details, there is no reliable basis for download or compatibility instructions. The story does not say that owning Elden Ring is required.

Would Elden Ring combat work in Skyrim?

The idea could appeal to players who want Skyrim’s world and quests with a different-feeling player controller and combat style. Whether this particular mod delivers that experience in practice is still an open question: the available account gives a brief description and the poster’s playable claim, not independent testing or a detailed gameplay breakdown.
