There is no official Netmarble tier list for Solo Leveling: ARISE. The available community ranking is labeled October 2026, but its own last-check date is August 14, 2026, so treat it as a dated guide—not a verified ranking of every current character. Its S tier offers a starting point for endgame investment; your mode, elemental matchup, team needs, and the latest balance changes matter just as much.
How character roles and tier ranks differ
Solo Leveling: ARISE adapts the Solo Leveling webtoon into an action game. Players control Sung Jinwoo, combine his skills and weapons, team up with hunters, and can summon shadow soldiers, according to Netmarble.
A character’s role describes what that character does in combat; a tier rank is a third-party judgment of relative usefulness under particular criteria. Neither an S rank nor a role label guarantees that a hunter is best for every fight. Netmarble’s update notes, for example, identify hunters by element and combat function, while also announcing balance adjustments to selected hunters, weapons, and artifact effects.
What the available Solo Leveling: ARISE tier list says
Claude Gaming labels its page as an October 2026 tier list and says it ranks 30 hunters for endgame modes: Battlefield of Time, guild raids, and gate pushing. However, the page’s stated last-check date is August 14, 2026—before the authoritative date of October 4, 2026. Its groupings therefore should be read as that site’s snapshot, not as official Netmarble rankings or a fully current roster-wide verdict. See the Claude Gaming tier list for its own scope and criteria.

Claude Gaming’s listed S tier includes:
- Tawata Kanae
- Thomas Andre
- Cha Hae-In (Pure Sword Princess)
- Amamiya Mirei
- Go Gunhee
- Goto Ryuji
- Isla Wright
- Seorin
- Yoo Soohyun
These are the characters in that page’s S group, not a complete list of all current hunters or a promise that each will perform equally in every mode. The captured listing supports no reliable reconstruction of its other tier assignments, so lower-tier placements should not be inferred here.
How to decide which hunters to build
Use tier letters as a shortlist, then judge each candidate against the content you actually play. A practical comparison has four parts:
Rank #2
- SUNG JINWOO: Climb the hunter ranks with Total Anime Sung Jinwoo
- SOLO LEVELING: 9-inch deluxe PVC statue is based on the popular anime Solo Leveling
- DYNAMIC POSE: Jinwoo is posed in a dynamic battle stance inspired by the show
- DISPLAY BASE: Includes exciting environmental display base of black flames
- Mode: Check whether the ranking’s focus—Battlefield of Time, guild raids, or gate pushing—matches your goal. A placement for those endgame modes may not settle which hunter helps most elsewhere.
- Elemental matchup: Claude Gaming warns that elemental counters still decide fights. A high-tier hunter is not automatically the right choice when the encounter favors a different element.
- Role and team function: Look at what the character contributes, not just the letter beside their name. Netmarble’s May 7, 2026 update describes Antoine Martinez as a Light Elemental Stacker whose skill final hits, excluding basic attacks, trigger Wisdom and restore allies’ HP. That utility may matter to a team even when a tier label cannot capture your specific needs. Read the May 7 update for the stated skill behavior.
- Investment and patch date: Weigh the resources you have already put into a hunter against the benefit of building another. Then check for newer balance changes: a tier page last checked August 14 can miss changes announced later in August.
Why patch notes can change a tier list
Netmarble’s August 27, 2026 update introduced Lee Joohee, Pilgrim of the Labyrinth, as a Light-element Buster with prism-centered skills. The same update announced balance adjustments to selected Sung Jinwoo weapons, hunters, and artifact set effects. Those details show why role, kit, and balance context belong beside a ranking: a character’s practical value depends on what the kit does and the state of the game when the evaluation was made.
The update also added Hall of the Monarchs as a challenge mode unlocked after Workshop of Brilliant Light Tier 10. Netmarble said: “The Hall of the Monarchs will be unlocked after clearing Workshop of Brilliant Light Tier 10 and will operate on a two-week seasonal cycle.” A two-week seasonal challenge can call for a different roster plan than the modes covered by a community ranking. See Netmarble’s August 27 update for the new hunter, balance adjustments, and mode details.

What a tier list can—and cannot—tell you
- It can: Offer a quick, attributed snapshot of how one source evaluates hunters for stated modes and criteria.
- It cannot: Establish an official in-game rank, prove that a hunter is unusable outside S tier, or provide a verified placement for every current character.
- It may age: New hunters, kit details, balance adjustments, and changing mode demands can make an older evaluation less useful.
Use the S-tier names as candidates to investigate, not a build order you must follow. If the tier source does not state a character’s placement or the latest version of its ranking, do not fill that gap with assumptions. Check the character’s role and element against your intended content, and use Netmarble’s update notes to understand documented changes.

The US Apple App Store listing describes swappable equipment and skills, hunter teams, gates, dungeon raids, boss replays, and time-attack content. It also lists a Hunters Association Premium Subscription at $9.99 per month or the regional equivalent when accessed; that is a regional, changeable listing, not a universal price. Netmarble’s official web shop lists digital items delivered to a linked game account. These purchase details do not establish anything about hunter strength.
