Yonhap independently confirms the final score and Faker’s second Asian Games gold; Insider Gaming reports that Zeus and Keria also earned a second gold, and describes South Korea’s tournament as a flawless run.
South Korea beat Chinese Taipei 3-0 in the final
Yonhap News Agency reported that South Korea swept Chinese Taipei 3-0 in the final at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname. The result gave South Korea consecutive League of Legends titles: Yonhap says the country won the inaugural Asian Games LoL tournament at Hangzhou before taking the title again at Aichi-Nagoya.
There is a year-label inconsistency in Yonhap’s October 2 match report: one sentence calls the competition the “2025 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games,” although the report is dated October 2, 2026, describes a final held that day, and Yonhap’s May 2026 preview calls the Aichi-Nagoya Games upcoming. The event is therefore described here as the 2026 Asian Games, while noting that the match report itself contains the conflicting 2025 label. Yonhap’s October 2 match report and its May 18 preview provide those respective details.
What “flawless run” means—and what is confirmed
Insider Gaming says South Korea did not drop a game during the tournament: it reports three 3-0 group-stage wins, a semifinal victory over Saudi Arabia, and the 3-0 final. That is the basis for calling the campaign a flawless run. The accessible official LoL Esports results page shows the event and its group and knockout stages, but does not expose readable match scores in its page text, so it does not independently verify the complete run.

Insider Gaming also reports that Faker played against India in the group stage, then took a coaching role and was not in the final lineup. Its reported final five were Zeus, Canyon, Zeka, Gumayusi, and Keria. Yonhap’s match report names six players on the match-day roster—Lee Sang-hyeok, Choi Woo-je, Kim Geon-woo, Ryu Min-seok, Kim Gun-boo, and Lee Min-hyung—rather than specifying that all six played in the final. These playing-role details come from secondary reporting; see Insider Gaming’s October 2 account.
Which players earned a second Asian Games gold?
Yonhap identifies Lee Sang-hyeok—known as Faker—as earning a second Asiad gold. Insider Gaming says Zeus (Choi Woo-je) and Keria (Ryu Min-seok) also earned their second golds. The claims are not equally corroborated in the opened reports: Yonhap confirms Faker’s repeat gold, while the Zeus and Keria repeat-medal details are reported by Insider Gaming.
