StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection joined PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on November 5, 2024. This is a PC Game Pass addition, not an announcement that either game is available through Game Pass on Xbox consoles. The original games’ multiplayer components are free to play; the subscription access covers the remastered original and the StarCraft II campaign collection.
Which StarCraft games are on Game Pass?
The announced Game Pass titles are StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection. Xbox announced the PC availability on September 26, 2024, and its October catalog post listed both for November 5 on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. Blizzard later confirmed that they had landed on the service.

What does the subscription include?
StarCraft: Remastered
This is an upgraded version of the original StarCraft and its Brood War expansion, with improved graphics and audio while retaining the classic gameplay, according to Xbox Wire.
StarCraft II: Campaign Collection
The collection includes four named products: Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and Nova Covert Ops. It is a campaign collection, not a claim that every StarCraft product is included. Xbox lists the components in its October Game Pass catalog post.

No. Blizzard says the multiplayer components of both the original StarCraft and StarCraft II are free to play. Game Pass is the subscription route for StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft II: Campaign Collection, not a requirement for those free multiplayer components. See Blizzard’s explanation of the offer.
Is StarCraft on Xbox consoles?
The announcement covers PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on PC. The cited Xbox and Blizzard announcements do not announce a console version of either title through Game Pass. In this context, “Xbox Game Pass” refers to the subscription brand; it should not be read as confirmation of an Xbox console release.
