フォートナイトをSteam版ゲームとして起動することはできません。 Windowsでは、Epic Games Launcherからフォートナイトをインストールし、Steamにはランチャーを「非Steamゲーム」として登録します。これでSteamライブラリやBig PictureからEpic Games Launcherを開き、その中でフォートナイトを起動できます。Steamに追加しても、Steamの所有権やSteam経由のアップデートが付くわけではありません。
フォートナイトはSteamで配信されている？
フォートナイトのPC版は、Epic Games Launcherから入手・インストールするタイトルです。Epic Gamesアカウントとランチャーが必要で、ランチャーのライブラリからフォートナイトをインストールして起動します。公式手順はEpic Gamesのインストール案内で確認できます。

フォートナイトは無料で入手できますが、Epic側で「注文する」「入手済み」などの表示が出ることがあります。通常の有料購入を意味するものではありません。
Steamから起動する前に必要なもの
- Windows PC
- Steamクライアント
- Epic Games LauncherとEpic Gamesアカウント
- Epic Games Launcherからインストール済みで、通常起動できるフォートナイト
ログイン、認証、ゲームの更新はEpic Games Launcher側で行われます。Steamに非Steamゲームとして登録するだけなら、SteamアカウントとEpicアカウントの所有権を統合する必要はありません。

Epic Games LauncherをSteamに追加する方法
- Steamを起動します。
- 左下の「ゲームを追加」をクリックします。
- 「非Steamゲームをマイライブラリに追加」を選びます。
- 一覧にEpic Games Launcherがあればチェックを入れます。表示されなければ「参照」をクリックします。
EpicGamesLauncher.exeを選択し、「選択したプログラムを追加」をクリックします。- Steamライブラリで登録項目を右クリックし、必要なら「プロパティ」から名前を「フォートナイト（Epic Games）」などに変更します。
- Steamライブラリから登録項目を起動します。
- Epic Games Launcherが開いたら、ライブラリでフォートナイトを選び、通常どおり起動します。
Steamの公式案内でも、登録できないタイトルはプログラムのショートカットを非Steamゲームとして追加する方式になっています。詳しくはSteamの非Steamゲーム追加手順を参照してください。
EpicGamesLauncher.exeが見つからない場合
- Windowsのスタートメニューで「Epic Games Launcher」を検索します。
- 検索結果を右クリックし、「ファイルの場所を開く」を選びます。
- ショートカットのプロパティで「リンク先」を確認します。
- デスクトップにあるEpic Games Launcherのショートカットでも、プロパティから実際の実行ファイルの場所を確認できます。
インストール先は環境によって異なるため、固定パスを入力する必要はありません。

フォートナイト本体を直接Steamに登録できる？
フォートナイトの実行ファイル（.exe）を非Steamゲームとして登録する方法もあります。ただし、Epic Games Launcherからの起動確認や認証を求められ、「Epic Games Launcherから起動してください」と表示されることがあります。ゲームの更新で実行ファイルの場所や動作が変わる可能性もあります。
安定性を優先するなら、フォートナイト本体ではなくEpic Games Launcherを登録する方法を使ってください。Steam公式も、非Steamゲームの登録はショートカットの追加であり、Steam経由のアップデートや所有権を与えるものではないと説明しています。

Big Pictureモードやコントローラーで使う
- SteamをBig Pictureモードに切り替えます。
- ライブラリから登録したEpic Games Launcherを選びます。
- Epic Games Launcherでフォートナイトを選んで起動します。
登録したショートカットのコントローラー設定からSteam Inputを有効・無効にして試せます。ただし、Steamはランチャーを起動しているだけで、フォートナイト本体を直接管理しているとは限りません。コントローラーの機種、接続方式、ゲーム内設定、起動経路によって結果が変わるため、Steam InputやSteamオーバーレイが必ず動作するとはいえません。Bluetoothで問題が出る場合は、有線接続やSteam Inputの設定変更を試してください。
Big Pictureから項目を起動できることと、フォートナイトがSteam版になることは別です。

起動できないときの切り分け
Epic Games Launcher自体が起動しない
- Steamを経由せず、WindowsからEpic Games Launcherを直接起動します。
- Epicアカウントにサインインできるか確認します。
- 直接起動でも失敗するなら、Steamの登録ではなくEpic側の問題です。
Epicの一般的な起動トラブル対策には、ゲームの設定で追加コマンドライン引数に-skip_launcherを入力する手順があります。ただし、これは独自ランチャーを持つゲーム向けの一般手順で、フォートナイトで必ず有効になる専用解決策とは確認されていません。案内はEpic Gamesのサポートページで確認してください。
Steamのボタンを押しても何も起きない
- 登録先が古いショートカットや移動済みの実行ファイルになっていないか確認します。
- 登録項目をSteamから削除し、EpicGamesLauncher.exeを登録し直します。
- Epic Games Launcherを一度直接起動してから、Steamの登録項目を試します。
- SteamとEpic Games Launcherを、まずは両方とも通常権限で起動します。片方だけ管理者権限にすると挙動が変わる場合があります。
「Epic Games Launcherから起動してください」と表示される
フォートナイト本体の実行ファイルを直接登録している可能性が高い状態です。直接登録を削除し、Epic Games Launcherを非Steamゲームとして追加してから、ランチャーのライブラリでフォートナイトを起動します。

アップデート後に起動できなくなった
- 登録したファイルの場所や名前が変わっていないか確認します。
- フォートナイト本体ではなくEpic Games Launcherを登録する構成に戻します。
- Epic Games Launcherから直接フォートナイトを起動できるか確認します。
- 障害やメンテナンスが疑われる場合は、Epic Gamesの公式ステータスページを確認します。
Steamに追加してもできないこと
- フォートナイトをSteamストアで購入・所有した状態にすること
- Steam経由でフォートナイトを更新すること
- Steam版の実績やストアページを利用すること
- Steamオーバーレイ、Steam Input、プレイ時間記録がフォートナイトで完全に機能することを保証すること

Steam DeckやLinuxについて
この記事の手順はWindows PC向けです。Steam DeckなどLinux系端末でEpic Games Launcherやフォートナイトが同じように動作することは、このWindows向け手順からは保証できません。Linux互換性やアンチチートの問題を、WindowsでSteamにショートカットを追加する手順と同一視しないでください。
結論
最も確実なのはEpic Games Launcherからフォートナイトを起動する方法です。SteamのライブラリやBig Pictureにまとめたい場合は、フォートナイト本体ではなくEpic Games Launcherを非Steamゲームとして登録してください。Steamから起動できても、フォートナイトがSteam版になったり、Steamの所有権・更新機能が付いたりするわけではありません。
