Steam Replay 2024 launched on December 18, 2024. Valve’s third annual year-in-review feature summarizes activity linked to your Steam account, including games played, achievements, streaks, monthly and device playtime, genre graphs, Steam Family activity and sharing options. Start at https://store.steampowered.com/replay/. This is a December 2024 release, not a new August 2026 launch; whether an individual recap still opens must be checked after signing in.
When did Steam Replay 2024 launch?
Valve announced “Your 2024 Steam Replay is here!” on December 18, 2024, during the Winter Sale period. The announcement calls it the third annual Steam year-in-review feature. Valve used the name Steam Replay in 2022, called the 2023 edition Steam Year In Review, and restored the Replay name for 2024.

What Steam Replay 2024 shows
Replay is a personal account summary, not a ranking of Steam’s most popular games. Valve says the 2024 recap includes:
#1 Best Overall
- Visa Virtual eGift Cards are designed for online use only. Gift Cards are subject to Terms and Conditions: a.co/5bw3qXJ
- When you access your Visa Virtual eGift Card for the first time, you’ll need to register your name, address, phone number, and email address via activationspot.com. These details should also be used as your billing address for online purchases, as many merchants require address verification for purchase authorization.
- This Visa Virtual eGift Card is non-reloadable. No cash or ATM access. Visa Virtual eGift Cards are emailed active.
- Funds do not expire but your Visa Virtual eGift Card has a ‘valid thru’ date (9 years from date of purchase). If funds remain after this date has passed, please call the Toll Free number found on your Visa Virtual eGift Card for a replacement card. A one-time purchase fee applies at the time of checkout.
- This item is not eligible for refund, resale, or return. Available for sale within the United States only. Not available to residents of Puerto Rico, Hawaii, New Mexico, South Dakota, West Virginia and the US Virgin Islands.
| Category | What Valve described |
|---|---|
| Games | Number of games played and a comparison with the previous year |
| Achievements | Achievements unlocked |
| Streaks | Your longest play streak |
| Time | Playtime by month and by platform or device |
| Genres | Genre breakdowns shown through “spider” graphs |
| Steam Family | Activity connected with a Steam Family, where applicable |
| Sharing | Controls for sharing the recap on Steam and on external platforms |
The announcement confirms several playtime views, but it does not promise that every account will receive one simple annual total-hours number. The figures and presentation can vary by account and screen.
How to open Steam Replay 2024
- Go directly to https://store.steampowered.com/replay/.
- Sign in to the Steam account whose activity you want to check. This matters if you use more than one account.
- Open the available year-in-review prompt. If Steam offers a year selector, choose 2024.
- Use Steam’s sharing controls if they appear. If the recap loads but sharing fails, save screenshots instead.
The Replay page currently sends logged-out visitors to Steam’s sign-in page. Valve’s official URL is therefore the safest starting point, especially because client and app labels may have changed since December 2024.

Desktop client and mobile app routes
At launch, The Escapist reported a Steam client banner and access through the mobile app’s discovery or news area: How to get Steam Replay 2024. A Steam Community user later reported the mobile path as Menu → New & Noteworthy → Steam Replay (community discussion). Treat that route as interface-dependent and user-reported, not a permanent Valve navigation guarantee.
Can you still view the 2024 recap?
As of August 18, 2026, Valve’s official Replay landing page remains reachable, but the available evidence does not establish that every account can still retrieve its 2024 report. Sign in at the official page to see whether your account is offered the recap. Do not interpret the page’s existence as proof of permanent historical access.

- Confirm that you are signed in to the intended Steam account.
- Open the official Replay URL directly instead of an old bookmark.
- Try a current desktop browser, the Steam desktop client and the mobile app.
- Temporarily disable extensions that block scripts, cookies or Steam pages.
- Check for a Steam service disruption or unusually high traffic.
- Restart Steam and install any available client update.
- Never give your Steam credentials to a third-party “Replay generator.”
- If no recap appears, historical availability may have changed; Valve has not established that every past Replay remains accessible indefinitely.
Steam Community users reported client, browser and mobile loading errors around the original release, including in this discussion and this discussion. Those reports describe possible failure modes, not official support requirements.

What Steam Replay does—and does not—count
Replay summarizes activity associated with your Steam account and Steam ecosystem. It is not a complete census of every game you played in 2024: console sessions, games played through another launcher and activity on another Steam account will not automatically become Steam activity.
If a game is missing or a number looks surprising, possible explanations include another account, offline activity that had not synchronized, Steam Family or privacy settings, or reporting rules that differ from your assumption. These are troubleshooting possibilities, not universally documented Valve inclusion rules. The same caution applies to manually added non-Steam games, family-sharing aggregation and the classification of sessions across desktop and Steam Deck.

Steam Family and devices
Valve specifically mentions Steam Family activity and playtime by platform or device. That supports looking for those breakdowns, but it does not establish that every family member’s hours are simply combined into an identical report or that every session is categorized perfectly.
Steam Replay versus Steam’s Best of 2024
Steam Replay is your account-specific recap. Valve’s separate Best of 2024 posts are platform-wide rankings and lists published in December 2024. They are not substitutes for one another; the year-end lists are collected in Valve’s news archive at Steam News.

Sharing your Replay
Valve said each Replay is unique to its account and can be shared on and off Steam. Use the built-in controls when available, but do not assume a shared link is public or viewable to people who are not signed in. A screenshot is the practical fallback if the page works but its sharing controls do not.
