Recent coverage has the most substantial update for Deadlock, while several other chart regulars have release windows or developer news—and a few have little newly reported. One important distinction: SteamDB’s displayed figures are followers, not public wishlist totals. Steam does not disclose actual wishlist counts.
How to read this snapshot
The order and follower figures below come from SteamDB’s live chart captured on October 3, 2026. SteamDB uses Steam store data, but it is not affiliated with Valve or Steam; the ranking can change, and entries may disappear intermittently because Steam search results can be inconsistent. Its follower counts are a separate metric from wishlists. SteamDB’s live chart is available at SteamDB’s most-wishlisted games page.
The news below is a dated catch-up, not a claim that every item is a fresh official announcement. PC Gamer’s October 2 roundup used its own top-20 selection, which differs from SteamDB’s October 3 chart. Where a detail comes from that roundup or another outlet, its date and attribution matter.

1. Deadlock
Deadlock had the clearest major update in the roundup: on October 2, Valve rolled out the City Never Sleeps update, adding six characters and reworking the map, according to GamesRadar+. The outlet reported that the game’s concurrent-player count topped 228,000 after the update. It also said Deadlock remained invite-only at the time of its report, so this was not a general public launch.
Valve’s Deadlock team explained that it wanted to keep working on the core game before shifting to polish, including updating older hero artwork. The team’s statement was: “After the Old Gods New Blood update, we felt that there was still a good amount of work we wanted to do on the core game itself before we moved onto more polish phases of the game development (like updating older hero artwork).” Read the GamesRadar+ report on Deadlock’s update. SteamDB listed 436,587 followers and a seven-day increase of 5,413 on October 3.
2. Light No Fire
Sean Murray mentioned Light No Fire in a September 9 No Man’s Sky Cosmos video, but PC Gamer’s October 2 roundup found little else new to report. In a separate report, GamesRadar+ quoted the Hello Games founder explaining the limited marketing: “We’ve like shot up the Steam wishlist charts; we’re like number two on there.” That comment refers to wishlist-chart standing at the time of his remark, not to SteamDB’s follower count. SteamDB’s October 3 entry showed 248,044 followers, up 869 over seven days. See GamesRadar+ on Light No Fire’s limited marketing.
3. Dear Passengers
Developer Flexus posted a lengthy Q&A on October 2, but PC Gamer reported no new price or release-date information in it. Separately, GamesRadar+ reported that Flexus said the game had reached two million Steam wishlists as of July 31, 2026, and that it entered the top three by September 5. The two-million figure is a developer-reported milestone, not a SteamDB count. SteamDB’s October 3 chart listed 93,401 followers and a seven-day increase of 2,471. Read GamesRadar+ on Dear Passengers’ wishlist milestone.
4. Fable
SteamDB listed February 2027 as Fable’s release month. PC Gamer’s October 2 roundup said the game remained on track for a February release and noted that official lore was published on September 21. The chart listing is more specific about the year than the roundup’s wording; neither source establishes a precise launch day.

18. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past
SteamDB listed this as upcoming DLC with a release of “Soon,” but did not display follower figures in the snapshot. PC Gamer described a chain weapon used against an enemy called “Swarmions.”
19. over the hill

20. Tides of Annihilation
SteamDB placed Tides of Annihilation twentieth and listed its release as “Soon.” The October 2 roundup’s selection differed from this chart, and the available coverage did not verify a current official update for Tides of Annihilation in this October 3 snapshot.
Quick Recap
What the chart can—and cannot—tell you
- It shows attention, not public wishlist totals. The ranking is useful for seeing which upcoming games have large Steam followings; SteamDB’s figures should not be reported as wishlist counts.
- A release label is not a firm launch date. “TBA,” “Soon,” a month, and a year convey different levels of specificity. Where the roundup gives a more precise target than the chart, treat it as an attributed report rather than a guarantee.
- News coverage is uneven. Deadlock had a substantial update in the dated coverage, while some games had only a brief developer mention or no newly reported information. Absence from the roundup is not proof that development has stopped.
- Rankings are time-sensitive. SteamDB’s page is live, so the October 3 order is a dated snapshot rather than a lasting or official Valve ranking. Steam’s own upcoming releases page is a separate place to check listed release dates.
