The SteelSeries Stratus+ itself remains a credible Android- and Chromebook-focused controller, especially if you want an included detachable phone mount. Windows use is wired, and compatibility is not universal across games or platforms.
Deal status: historical, not confirmed live
The original deal report, published April 18, 2024, directed readers to Amazon and advertised up to 19% off: Phandroid’s original report. It did not establish a price that remains valid today.

If those details do not show a genuine reduction, do not describe the purchase as “19% less.”
What the Stratus+ is
The Stratus+ is a conventional wireless gamepad aimed primarily at Android phones and Chromebooks. It connects to those devices over Bluetooth LE and includes a slim, adjustable, detachable phone mount. SteelSeries lists controller-compatible Android games, Fortnite Mobile, and GeForce Now among its supported use cases: official Stratus+ specifications.

Windows is a different proposition: SteelSeries specifies a USB-C-to-A wired connection rather than the same Bluetooth-first experience marketed for Android and Chromebook. The launch announcement describes an included USB-C-to-A cable, but confirm the contents of the particular retail package you are buying: SteelSeries launch announcement.

Compatibility checklist
Android
Android devices are the controller’s primary wireless target. Pairing the pad does not guarantee that every game accepts gamepad input. Check the game’s control settings or official support information; a game may ignore the controller even when Bluetooth pairing succeeds.
Chromebook
SteelSeries explicitly supports wireless Chromebook connectivity. Playability still depends on whether you are using a compatible Android app, browser game, or cloud service and whether that software supports controllers.

Windows PC
Plan on a USB-C-to-A cable for Windows. Do not buy the Stratus+ expecting universal wireless Windows play.
iPhone, iPad, Mac, and consoles
Current SteelSeries positioning is Android, Chromebook, and wired Windows. Do not assume native support for iPhone, iPad, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. Buyers on those platforms should choose a controller explicitly designed for them.

Its wired Windows connection and limited platform positioning make it a poor choice for wireless-PC or console-focused buyers.
