If a Streamlabs Mobile broadcast stops—or the app says you are live but YouTube is not—first check the stream’s status on YouTube, not just the timer in Streamlabs. Then follow the matching fix: a documented Disconnect Protection issue can make Streamlabs appear live without delivering the broadcast, while a stream that genuinely started and then ended calls for network and device checks.
First, check whether YouTube is receiving the stream
Open your channel or YouTube Studio and check whether the broadcast is actually live. A Streamlabs timer, bitrate or FPS display, and Stop control do not by themselves confirm that YouTube is receiving the stream.
Streamlabs documented a specific “app looks live but isn’t live on platform” issue associated with Disconnect Protection: the app may show a live state while failing to connect to Streamlabs servers, leaving the destination platform offline. Streamlabs reported the issue on November 1, 2025, and its support article, dated January 17, 2026, lists workarounds. This is one known mismatch, not a diagnosis for every interruption. If Streamlabs says live but YouTube is offline
- In the Streamlabs Mobile app, open the top-left menu.
- Choose Disconnect Protection and turn it off.
- Try the broadcast again, then verify its status on YouTube.

If the broadcast really started and then stopped
Check the connection
Reconnect to a stable network available to you and try again. If the interruption happens on one connection but not another, that points toward connection instability, though it does not establish the cause by itself. Streamlabs describes Network Boost as using multiple internet connections to support mobile reliability; it is an Ultra feature, not a guaranteed fix. The Google Play listing associates Disconnect Protection with Streamlabs Ultra, so confirm current entitlements in the app. Streamlabs on Google Play
Reduce competing device load
Close other open apps before the next attempt. Streamlabs’ mobile guide recommends doing so to reduce the potential for lag or crashes. This is a practical first check, not proof that another app caused a particular drop. Streamlabs’ mobile streaming guide

Record what happened before retrying
If the problem continues, note the Streamlabs app version, Android version and device, time of the interruption, connection type, what Streamlabs displayed, and whether YouTube Studio showed the broadcast live. These details make a support report more useful; they are not a universal checklist published by Streamlabs, and the cited guidance does not identify every cause of a genuine mid-stream disconnection.
If you cannot start a mobile live stream
Account and device eligibility checks matter most when a broadcast will not start; they should not be treated as a universal explanation for a broadcast that was already running and then stopped. YouTube’s mobile live-stream help lists these requirements:

- The channel has no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days.
- The channel has at least 50 subscribers for mobile live streaming.
- The Android device runs Android 8.0 or later.
