If your Talk Studio broadcast is missing from your YouTube channel page, check YouTube Studio first: open Content > Live and look under Live Now, Upcoming, and Live Replay. Then confirm you are viewing the intended channel and that the stream’s visibility is public. A missing public listing does not by itself mean the broadcast failed to start.
Find out whether YouTube received the stream
Sign in to YouTube Studio using the account for the channel you meant to stream to, then open Content > Live. Check the event’s status and visibility before changing Talk Studio settings.
| What you see | What it means | What to check next |
|---|---|---|
| Live Now | YouTube has an active live broadcast. | Open the event in Live Control Room and verify the channel and visibility. If it is public but absent from the channel page, use the event’s watch page and check the broadcast status. |
| Upcoming | The event is scheduled but has not started. | Open it in Live Control Room and confirm the schedule; select and launch it there when you are ready. Scheduled streams may appear to subscribers as upcoming, with a “Notify me” option. |
| Live Replay | The broadcast ended and is listed as a replay. | Open the replay and check its visibility and processing state. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived; check the specific event to confirm its replay is available. |
| No matching event | The event may not have reached YouTube, may be on another channel, or may not have been created. | Check Talk Studio’s connected destination, the account and channel, prerequisites, and any connection error. |
YouTube’s Live Control Room is the place to inspect scheduled events and manage a stream. A public channel page is not a substitute for checking the event’s actual state in Studio.
Confirm Talk Studio is connected to the intended YouTube channel
Talk Studio calls linked social accounts Destinations. Check the YouTube destination before starting another broadcast.

- In Talk Studio, select the account icon, then open Account Settings > Destinations.
- Confirm the YouTube account and channel shown are the ones where viewers should find the stream. If the wrong account is connected, use Add Destination to connect the intended one.
- If multiple social accounts share an email address, Streamlabs notes that you may need to log out of the wrong account domain before reconnecting so you can select the correct account.
- Return to YouTube Studio and repeat the check under Content > Live.
Check the channel itself, not just the email address or profile name. A broadcast sent to a different channel can be live and still be absent from the channel you are looking at.
Check whether the broadcast is public, private, or unlisted
YouTube supports public, private, and unlisted live streams. If Studio shows the event but people cannot find it on your public channel, open the event settings and confirm both the channel and visibility. A private or unlisted event is not a public channel listing.

Keep the visibility of the Talk Studio broadcast separate from the unlisted setting used for Streamlabs’ initial verification test. Streamlabs recommends making that test unlisted; it does not mean later Talk Studio broadcasts should be unlisted.
Check Talk Studio’s YouTube prerequisites
Streamlabs’ Talk Studio destination guide, published in 2023 and last updated in 2025, says a channel must complete YouTube verification and make an initial webcam live stream through YouTube Studio before it can go live from Talk Studio. It specifies a 24-hour wait after that initial stream.

- Complete YouTube channel verification. YouTube’s live-streaming requirements also include account and channel eligibility checks; review the current status for the account you intend to use.
- In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go live > Right now > Built-in webcam and complete the initial webcam stream. Streamlabs recommends setting this verification stream to Unlisted so it does not appear in public channel search results.
- Wait 24 hours after that initial YouTube Studio stream before trying to go live to that channel from Talk Studio, as Streamlabs instructs.
- Reconnect or confirm the intended YouTube destination in Talk Studio, then start a new broadcast and check YouTube Studio’s Live list.
If you already completed these steps, verify the state on the exact channel rather than assuming the requirement is satisfied. Streamlabs’ guide states: “After 24 hours from the time that you went live has elapsed, you will be able to go live to your YouTube channel from your Talk Studio anytime afterward.”
If Talk Studio never starts the broadcast
YouTube says a watch page is created after the stream connects and the encoder starts. If no event appears in YouTube Studio and Talk Studio reports a connection or encoder error, investigate the connection rather than visibility.

- Check the destination connection. Make sure Talk Studio is connected to the intended YouTube account and channel.
- Read the exact error. Follow Talk Studio’s destination troubleshooting for a Talk Studio login or destination problem. Keep the error text for support, but do not post credentials or a stream key.
- Refresh a stream key only if your setup uses one. For a third-party encoder error, YouTube’s instructions are to open Live Control Room, choose Stream, copy a stream key, and update the encoder with it. Apply this only if the Talk Studio connection actually exposes or uses a stream key; do not assume every account-login connection does.
- Escalate to the relevant provider. YouTube says that if you log in to third-party streaming software without using a stream key, contact that software’s support team.
Never share a stream key in a public support post. Anyone with access to a valid key may be able to send video to the associated stream.

If you are trying to keep uploaded video playing as a continuous YouTube stream rather than troubleshoot a one-off Talk Studio broadcast, StreamNeo is a separate option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps it running without a computer or home connection staying on. Each slot streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card.

Troubleshooting by symptom
- It is on the wrong channel: check the connected Talk Studio destination and the channel selected in YouTube Studio.
- It appears in Upcoming, not Live Now: it is scheduled; inspect and launch the event through Live Control Room when ready.
- It is in Studio but not on the public channel: check visibility; private and unlisted streams are not public listings.
- It ended: look under Live Replay and inspect the replay’s availability and visibility.
- No event appears and Talk Studio shows an error: check the destination login and prerequisites; follow YouTube’s stream-key guidance only if your connection uses a key.
- You cannot tell which case applies: note the channel, event status in Studio, visibility, and exact error, then contact Streamlabs support for a Talk Studio destination or login problem. Never include a stream key.
