What is StreamShark, and can it run a 24/7 YouTube stream?
StreamShark is a hosted live-streaming and video-on-demand platform. Its Live Scheduler can arrange hosted VOD content into a schedule or a continuous loop, which suits the idea of an always-on channel. StreamShark’s guide says the feature can provide HLS and DASH feed URLs once a schedule is ready or scheduled. StreamShark’s pricing page places Live Scheduler among Enterprise Features; its scheduler documentation says access currently requires a Dedicated Server attached to a subscription. That does not establish a working YouTube publishing path. An HLS or DASH feed URL is not, by itself, proof that YouTube accepts it as a live encoder input or that StreamShark pushes it to a YouTube live event. The reviewed StreamShark material does not confirm either method. Before subscribing, ask the vendor to confirm the exact YouTube ingest route and whether you need a separate encoder or relay.
How the documented Live Scheduler workflow works
StreamShark describes a VOD-based workflow: prepare hosted content, create a schedule, choose the lineup and loop or timing settings, then start it or schedule it to begin. When the schedule is ready or scheduled, the guide says its HLS and DASH feed URLs are available from the schedule’s Links tab. The exact interface and options may change, so follow the current guide or ask your account contact for account-specific instructions.

- Confirm eligibility first. Contact StreamShark sales or your account manager to verify that your subscription can have a Dedicated Server attached and that Live Scheduler is available to you. The guide directs customers to their representative to ask about access or a trial.
- Prepare the VOD lineup. Choose the hosted videos you intend to rotate. Confirm with StreamShark that your content formats and intended schedule are supported for your account.
- Create and configure the schedule. Add the selected content, set the loop and timing, and start or schedule the playlist using the current Live Scheduler interface.
- Locate the feed URLs. Open the schedule’s Links tab after it is ready or scheduled to retrieve its HLS and DASH URLs.
- Validate the YouTube connection before committing. Ask StreamShark how that feed reaches a YouTube live event, what additional components are required, and how you can confirm that the event receives a continuous signal. Do not assume that copying a feed URL into YouTube will work.
What Indian creators should verify before buying
Get answers to these questions in writing before choosing a plan. The central unknown is not whether StreamShark can schedule VOD; its guide documents that. It is whether the documented scheduler can deliver your intended continuous YouTube broadcast, and what the complete setup costs.
- YouTube path: Does StreamShark push the scheduled feed to YouTube, or must you provide an encoder or relay? Which YouTube ingest method and settings are supported?
- Required subscription: Which plan and Dedicated Server configuration are required for Live Scheduler? Is the server an added charge, and what are any setup fees?
- Total recurring cost: Include the subscription, Dedicated Server, any encoder or relay, shared data transfer, and possible overages. Ask whether the quoted terms include applicable taxes for your billing location.
- Continuous operation: How does the service handle a 24/7 schedule, a failed feed, a YouTube disconnect, schedule changes, and monitoring? Ask what recovery is automatic and what requires operator action.
- India-specific terms: Confirm accepted payment methods, currency, taxes, support availability and response arrangements, and any latency considerations for your intended audience. The published material cited here does not establish India-specific payment, tax, latency, or support terms.
- Delivery and capacity: Check the plan’s resolution, simultaneous-stream allowance, transfer allowance, and whether the limits fit your intended output and audience. These are plan specifications, not a guarantee of viewer-side quality.
StreamShark pricing and plan limits
StreamShark’s pricing page lists USD prices. Its annual-billing prices are shown below alongside the month-to-month prices in the page’s FAQ. Annual billing is described by StreamShark as saving 20%. These are vendor-published subscription prices and allowances, not India-specific quotes; the Dedicated Server’s incremental price is not stated in the reviewed material. The page says live streaming and VOD share the monthly data-transfer allowance. That means your video delivery and viewing demand draw on the same pool; compare your expected use with the relevant plan allowance and ask how transfer is counted. StreamShark lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PayPal for self-sign-up. That list does not establish which payment methods or billing terms are available to customers in India.
Feature differences that matter to an always-on channel
StreamShark lists cloud transcoding, real-time statistics, SRT support, instant archiving, and embeddable chat on Standard, Team, and Business. The pricing matrix lists maximum multistream counts of 2, 5, and 10 respectively. Team adds five member seats and backup stream ingest; Business lists ten seats, one encoder-management entitlement, live calls to action and polling, and a dedicated account manager. Live Scheduler is presented as an Enterprise Feature, while the scheduler guide separately requires a Dedicated Server attached to a subscription. Do not assume that buying a Standard, Team, or Business plan alone grants scheduler access.

YouTube eligibility and content rules
YouTube’s live-streaming help page says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. It also says a person must be at least 16 to live stream. YouTube lists mobile, webcam, encoder, and console as live-streaming methods. Check YouTube’s current live-streaming eligibility guidance, since platform rules can change. Meeting these eligibility requirements does not prove that a StreamShark scheduler feed will connect to YouTube.
For a channel built from pre-recorded material, check that you have the rights to every video, audio track, image, and other element in the lineup. YouTube’s rules and enforcement apply to the content and channel; looping a video does not make copyrighted material permissible. Review YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies before scheduling content, particularly if you intend to monetize a repetitive or reused-content format.
