Wonder is not getting an official PC release. An unofficial project by BelmanteGu has been demonstrated running on Windows and Mac, with an early Android build that boots. But the project’s repository is private, there is no public download or release date, and the author’s reported performance figures are not independent benchmarks.
Is Super Mario Bros. Wonder coming to PC?
There is no announced Nintendo PC version. What exists is an unofficial port project: its author says the game runs natively on Windows and Mac, and boots on Android. A Windows demonstration was also reported by TechEBlog on October 2, 2026, while the project author’s post, dated October 3, 2026, supplies the technical details and performance claims. TechEBlog’s report and the project author’s post describe a demonstration, not a public release.
The distinction matters: a playable demonstration does not mean players can download the project, nor does it make the work an official Nintendo port.
What the unofficial port has demonstrated
BelmanteGu says the Windows build has shown the title screen, menus, character selection, opening cutscene, world map, and course 1-1. The author also says the same port shown on Mac runs on Windows, and that an Android build boots. A separate report corroborates a Windows demonstration on a laptop with an RTX 3050, but does not establish that this GPU is required. The author’s account is the source for the listed demo progress; TechEBlog’s report provides secondary confirmation of the Windows demo.

What “native” means in this project
The author describes a static recompilation workflow rather than conventional emulation: the Switch’s ARM64 code is recompiled ahead of time into portable C++, and the game’s NVN graphics driver is recompiled as well. A custom NVN-to-Vulkan layer then replays recorded graphics work as Vulkan draws. The author says the system uses neither a just-in-time compiler nor an interpreter. This is the project author’s account of its implementation, not an independently verified technical audit. BelmanteGu’s post

| Demo or measurement | Author-reported result | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Course 1-1 on Apple M1 Mac | About 58 fps median | Project-author-reported demonstration; not an independent test. |
| Course 1-1 on Windows laptop with RTX 3050 | About 58 fps median | Project-author-reported demonstration; the RTX 3050 is not stated to be required. |
| Android build on Galaxy S23 | Reported to boot and render at 40–60 fps | The author describes the build as early; playable courses and correct textures remain in progress. |
| Translated shader programs | 12,717 | Count reported by the project author. |
| Opening scene texture upload | 312 MB of textures staged at once, exceeding a 256 MB upload ring | The author says buffer handling was changed in response. |
| Warm-start pipeline creation across a course | Reduced from 1.2 seconds to 0.36 seconds | The author attributes the improvement to adding an on-disk pipeline cache. |
The author lists further work: sustaining 60 fps in a Windows window, testing Intel UHD 770 integrated graphics, and adding correct textures and playable-course support on Android. Those items are described as ongoing work, not completed capabilities. BelmanteGu’s post
Can you download the port?
No public download is available in the author’s account: the repository remains private. BelmanteGu says the plan is to open the recompiler, NVN-to-Vulkan layer, and NVN documentation to the community, but gives no release date. A stated intention to publish these tools is not a release announcement. BelmanteGu’s post

How to play the official game now
Nintendo’s US product page lists Super Mario Bros. Wonder for Nintendo Switch, released October 20, 2023, and describes it as supported on Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo also lists local multiplayer for up to four players and says online play requires Nintendo Switch Online. This is the official way to buy and play the game; it is not a PC version. The project author says it runs only from a user’s own legally dumped game and that no game content is shared. That is the creator’s description of the project, not a legal ruling or advice.
