Why is Supermassive Games making cuts?
In its August announcement, Supermassive described the consultation as “a necessary step to help ensure the sustainability of the company.” That is the studio’s stated explanation. How this round fits the studio’s earlier redundancies

The 2025 figure was an at-risk estimate, not a confirmed final count. Game Informer characterized the 2026 announcement as the third redundancy round in less than three years, but these figures should not be added together as a definitive cumulative total because they refer to different stages and outcomes.
