Which platforms can you play it on?
The announced platforms are Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Nintendo’s listing is specific to the US; check your regional storefront for local availability and product format.
What is Tales of Xillia about?
Originally released in 2011, Tales of Xillia follows one of two protagonists: Milla Maxwell, who is accompanied by four spirits, or Jude Mathis, an aspiring medical student from the capital. Their paths cross in Rieze Maxia, a world where humans and spirits coexist, as they face a mana-draining weapon used by Rashugal. Bandai Namco’s game page presents the remaster’s premise and protagonists.

Combat uses the Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System, a real-time system centered on fighting alongside allies, combining attacks and using support skills. The remaster retains this core identity rather than replacing the original game’s story or battle system.
What does the remaster add?
Bandai Namco’s materials describe a range of convenience, navigation and interface additions. The most consequential for play are autosave, early access to the Grade Shop, destination icons and the ability to toggle general enemy encounters. The publisher also lists the following additions and options:
- Sub-event markers, map icons for uncollected items, and new-item and new-Arte markers.
- A dash toggle and choices for camera distance.
- Battle-scene subtitles.
- Automatic skipping of previously viewed events, plus the ability to skip cutscenes and skits.
- Customizable map and battle key bindings.
These are convenience features; the publisher’s feature list does not establish a particular resolution or frame rate. See Bandai Namco’s feature overview for its full account of the changes.
What DLC is included, and what was changed?
The remaster includes DLC from the original release, including costumes and useful items. However, Bandai Namco Europe specifies that selected licensed DLC is not included, so “DLC included” does not mean every original add-on is present in every regional release. Check the product information for the edition and region you intend to buy. Bandai Namco Europe’s product page describes its inclusion caveat.
