Target Black Friday 2022 dates and availability
Target promoted a Black Friday week rather than a single-day sale. The principal event ran Sunday, November 20, through Saturday, November 26, 2022, with some offers available all week and additional deals arriving November 24–26. Target stores were closed on Thanksgiving, November 24; most locations reopened at 7 a.m. local time on Friday, November 25. A separate online-focused Cyber event ran November 27–28.
Target said shoppers could use Target.com, the Target app, stores, Order Pickup, Drive Up and same-day delivery through Shipt. Availability varied by item, store and inventory; the ad warned that quantities were limited and that rain checks were not available. The ad and contemporary coverage described savings of up to $300 off iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models with a qualified purchase. That wording matters: the available coverage does not establish a universal instant discount, a gift-card amount, or one identical activation path for every model.
The qualification could have varied by carrier, storage tier, activation or financing route. It also should not be read as proof that unlocked or prepaid versions received the same savings. The ad’s fine print is the controlling source for any model-specific terms, so shoppers needed to check the exact listing before checkout. Google Pixel 6a: $299
Target advertised the unlocked 128GB Google Pixel 6a for $299, described as $150 below Target’s stated comparison price. This was a straightforward product-price promotion rather than an “up to” carrier headline, making it the clearest option for shoppers seeking an inexpensive unlocked Android phone in 2022.
The reported savings refer to Target’s comparison price, not necessarily the lowest price available from every retailer. Color, store inventory and online availability could vary, and the Pixel 6a is a 2022 model rather than a current recommendation. The product and price were reported by BGR and corroborated by Southern Savers.

PS5 bundle: $559.99
The ad listed a PlayStation 5 bundle at $559.99. The accessible deal reporting identifies the price but does not establish the bundle’s exact console edition and included game or accessory; those details should be read directly in the original ad scan before comparing it with another PS5 package.
For this high-demand item, stock was at least as important as the nominal price. Target’s 2022 terms warned that quantities were limited and no rain checks were available. Inventory could differ by store and fulfillment method, so the advertised price did not guarantee that every location—or Target.com—had a unit.

AirPods Pro 2
The $199.99 offer covered the second-generation AirPods Pro with charging case. Its active noise cancellation, transparency mode and newer features made it a materially different product from the standard AirPods deal.
AirPods 2
The $89.99 offer covered the older, standard second-generation AirPods. It was the budget choice, but it lacked the Pro model’s active noise cancellation and feature set. The two prices should not be combined into one generic “AirPods” promotion. Prices and stated savings were reported by BGR and appear in the ad scan.

These were historical policies attached to the 2022 promotion and may not match Target’s rules in 2026:
- Target promoted a Holiday Price Match Guarantee covering October 6 through December 24, 2022.
- Most new, unopened items were described as eligible for return within 90 days.
- Order Pickup and Drive Up had no minimum purchase requirement.
- Target advertised free shipping on orders of $35 or more, or when using a RedCard.
- Advertised quantities were limited, and the ad said rain checks were unavailable.

Which 2022 deal suited each shopper?
- Lowest upfront phone price: the $299 unlocked Pixel 6a, provided an older 2022 Android model met the buyer’s needs.
- Apple phone promotion: iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro, but only after confirming the qualified-purchase terms.
- Cheapest Apple earbuds: AirPods 2 at $89.99.
- Most features: AirPods Pro 2 at $199.99.
- Console buyer: the $559.99 PS5 bundle, subject to its exact contents and scarce inventory.
Why these prices should not be treated as current
As of August 2026, every promotion in this article is expired. The Pixel 6a, iPhone 14 generation and AirPods 2 are older products, while current prices, software support, console bundles and carrier terms require a fresh check. The 2022 ad is useful as an archival record—not as a live shopping offer.
