The Classic+ Project is a community-run place for WoW Classic players to suggest, discuss, and vote on ideas for a possible expanded Classic experience. It can organize and quantify the views of people who take part, but it is not a Blizzard ballot and its results do not establish what all Classic players want.
What is The Classic+ Project?
Wowhead described The Classic+ Project as a site launched by WoW Classic creator Joardee to collect player ideas about a possible future version of WoW Classic. Its reported features include surveys, idea submissions, voting, discussion, and an interactive Azeroth map where participants can suggest changes to unexplored zones. Players can also discuss proposals through the project’s Discord. These functions were described in Wowhead’s January 26, 2026 coverage; the project’s pages are not treated here as a fresh, direct audit. Read Wowhead’s introduction to The Classic+ Project.
What does “Classic+” mean?
Classic+ is a player-community term for a possible WoW Classic experience that adds content while keeping a Classic setting. Its boundaries are disputed: Wowhead’s guide says the community had not reached agreement on what the concept should include. It is best understood as an idea under discussion, not as the confirmed name or scope of a Blizzard product. See Wowhead’s Classic+ overview.
What do participating players want?
Selected results reproduced by Wowhead in a July 2026 guide show support for some additions, alongside uncertainty about others. Each percentage below belongs to a specific question and its own respondent count; they are not results from one common sample.

|---|---|---|
| Heroic dungeons | 65.6% support | 31,741 |
| More class quests | 71.5% support | 24,151 |
| New continents, worlds, or dimensions | 61% answered “depends if it’s done well” | 21,588 |
These are The Classic+ Project survey results as reproduced by Wowhead in July 2026; the guide cautioned that results reflected the survey at that time and could change. The figures describe participating respondents, not a representative estimate of every WoW Classic player. Accessible coverage does not establish a complete sampling, weighting, or deduplication method, and the project’s results page requires JavaScript, so current totals and complete question wording are not verified here. Wowhead’s July 2026 guide reproduces the selected survey findings.
Why feature details matter more than a vote total
Broad feature labels can conceal very different designs. A “dungeon finder,” for example, might be a noticeboard for finding groups, automatic group assembly, or a system that teleports players to a dungeon. Those versions have different effects on travel and social play. Likewise, support for more challenge, content, class identity, or convenience does not by itself settle how a feature should work—or whether it fits the slower, exploratory rhythm some players value in Classic.

- A pre paid, 60 day subscription to world of warcraft
- Requires world of warcraft standard game box contains game card only
That is why survey percentages are most useful as evidence of what participants are weighing, not as a finished design mandate. A proposal’s implementation, trade-offs, and fit with the Classic experience matter alongside its label.
How much weight should the project’s participation figures carry?
Wowhead reported on February 14, 2026, that more than 35,000 players had voted on what they would like included in or excluded from Classic+. That is a notable measure of the project’s reach at that date, but it is a reported participation figure—not a verified count of unique WoW accounts, not necessarily the respondent count for a single survey, and not proof of agreement among the wider Classic population. Is The Classic+ Project official, and has Blizzard announced Classic+?
No evidence in the cited coverage identifies The Classic+ Project as an official Blizzard feedback process. Blizzard’s WoW Classic Development Team said on May 27, 2025, that it was slowing Season of Discovery development and starting work on its “next major project in the original WoW design space.” The statement discussed lessons from Season of Discovery and future content in original Azeroth, but did not name The Classic+ Project, say its survey would guide development, or confirm a product titled Classic+. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How can I give feedback on Classic+?
Players interested in contributing can use the participation routes described for The Classic+ Project: answer surveys, submit or vote on ideas, and discuss proposals, including through its Discord. Treat that as community feedback rather than a direct channel to Blizzard; the available coverage does not establish that Blizzard receives or adopts the project’s submissions.
