The Epic Games Store for Android passed 30 listed games in February 2025, after Epic opened the storefront to third-party developers. That count was already dated a month later: reporting on March 21 said the catalog had grown beyond 40. Epic’s Android page does not state a current total, so neither historical figure should be read as today’s count.
What changed in February 2025
Epic launched its mobile store on Android worldwide on August 16, 2024, with Fortnite, Fall Guys and Rocket League Sideswipe. The launch announcement said iPhone and iPad access was limited to the European Union at that time. In January 2025, Epic began accepting third-party Android games. The first expansion reportedly brought the Android catalog to about 20 titles; a further batch of 16 led to the “over 30” milestone reported on February 20. Because the earlier figure was approximate, the addition does not establish an exact total. Epic’s launch announcement and the February report describe that growth.
On March 21, 2025, another report said 13 more games had taken the Android catalog past 40. That is a later historical snapshot, not a verified current count. The milestone marked a shift from a store centered on Epic’s own mobile games toward a marketplace with outside developers; it did not mean every listed game was made by Epic or exclusive to its store. The March report covered the follow-up expansion.
Games named in the February expansion
The February 20 report identified these 16 additions. This is a historical list: it does not establish that every title remains listed, downloadable, supported, or available in every country today.

The report names 15 titles while describing a 16-game addition; it does not identify the remaining title in the listed set. The games span paid and free-to-play models, but the report is not a current price or availability guide.
Free offers: distinguish giveaways from free-to-play games
The February report said Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II could be claimed at no cost before March 20, 2025. That was a deadline-bound promotion, not a standing price, and has expired. A free-to-play game is different: it can be downloaded without paying, while still offering optional purchases.
Epic later moved its Android giveaways from monthly to weekly, with the new schedule beginning with Super Meat Boy Forever and Eastern Exorcist; the March report said that offer was due to rotate on March 27, 2025. Epic’s Android storefront page advertises a new free game every Thursday on mobile and PC. Check that page for the current title and its terms rather than relying on an older promotion report.

How to install the Epic Games Store on Android
The marketplace app is downloaded from Epic’s website, not installed like a standard app from Google Play. Epic lists Android 8 (SDK 26) as the minimum, recommends Android 14 (SDK 34) or later for optimal performance, and says the store app itself needs about 25 MB. A game can require more storage or newer hardware, so meeting the store’s minimum does not guarantee that a particular title will run. See Epic’s official Android page for the download and requirements.
- On your Android device, open Epic’s Android store page and select the option to install the Epic Games Store.
- If Android blocks the download or installation, follow the system prompt to allow installs from that source. The setting is usually associated with the browser or file manager used to open the installer; its name and location vary by Android version and device manufacturer.
- Install the store app, open it, and sign in with your Epic Games account.
- Choose a game in the store and select Install. Games installed through Epic may receive their updates through Epic rather than Google Play.
- If you enabled permission for that browser or file manager to install unknown apps, turn it off again in Android settings when you no longer need it.
Use Epic’s official download page rather than a third-party APK source. Installation involves approving an external app source, so read Android’s prompts and only grant the permission needed to install the store.
Epic Games app and Epic Games Store are different apps
The similar names can lead to the wrong download. Epic’s companion app on Google Play is not the storefront for browsing and installing games.

“Over 30 games” meant games listed for Android through Epic’s store at the time of the February report. It was not a count of Epic-owned games, new releases, or exclusives. A storefront listing also does not guarantee that a game or promotion is available in a particular country or compatible with a particular device.
Epic says its Android store is available worldwide except where distribution is prohibited by U.S. law, including North Korea and Iran. Individual games, offers, in-app purchases and other features can have additional regional limits. The store’s Android availability should not be confused with iOS availability, which was EU-limited at the 2024 launch. Check the listing for the specific game and region you care about.

For players, Epic offers another route to mobile games, its own titles, and rotating giveaways. The trade-off is extra installation and update friction compared with a typical Google Play download, and the catalog is not a full substitute for Google Play. Users who already play supported Epic games can use an Epic account for cross-platform progression in Fortnite and Fall Guys, according to Epic; progression depends on the game and account, so use the account you already play with.
The dated counts show that Epic’s Android catalog expanded quickly in early 2025. They do not establish how many games are available now; consult Epic’s storefront for current listings, compatibility and offers.
