The Fifth Trial of Aql takes place in The Hidden Test, a cave in Hagga Rift. Follow the Journey clue to the large rock marked with a purple eye, drop into the nearby pit, then activate the trial at the spice altar. During the traversal, stay on stone platforms and ruins rather than the sand; near the end, place the Thumper beside the vehicle and head promptly for the exit.
Where to find the Fifth Trial of Aql
Open the Journey tab, select The Fifth Trial of Aql, and choose View Trial Location to see its mural and clue. The game-data entry records the clue as: “Where the earth has sundered… across the bridges of stone… where the monoliths lean… always para-east.” (Dune: Awakening DB)
The destination is The Hidden Test in Hagga Rift. Use the eastern terrain and its stone bridges as broad orientation, then look for a large rock bearing a purple eye. Drop into the nearby pit to reach the cavern entrance. A walkthrough suggests approaching across bridges on the western side of the area, but the available written directions do not establish a dependable coordinate; use the in-game clue and the purple-eye marker rather than relying on an invented map position. How to complete the trial
- Enter The Hidden Test. Find the purple-eye rock in Hagga Rift and descend into the pit entrance.
- Start the trial. Follow the cave to the spice altar, interact with it, and inhale the spice.
- Cross the traversal rooms. Move across ruins, raised ledges, and stone platforms. Avoid stepping onto the sand: the guides warn that doing so triggers the sandworm and can reset or endanger your run. Pause to recover stamina before demanding jumps instead of rushing them.
- Use the Thumper at the end. Collect it and place it beside the nearby vehicle or harvester. When the event begins, move promptly toward the exit route. The sandworm clears or consumes the vehicle, opening the way forward.
There is an optional supply crate on a ledge before the first large jump, according to Method.gg. It is not required to finish the trial. (Method.gg; QM Games)

Completing the trial unlocks the Thumper. One guide lists a crafting recipe of 5 Steel Ingots, 4 EMF Generators, 3 Silicone Blocks, and 35 Water; these counts may change with patches, so check the current recipe in the fabricator before gathering materials. (Method.gg; Dune: Awakening DB)
